Venues have been assigned to groups, but not specific matches yes.  That's why most matches, pretty much everything other than the groups with the host countries, is listed as an either/or.  But FIFA will release the full schedule on Saturday at 1200 Eastern Time / 1800 CET.  So we'll know the answer to all of those questions in just a few hours!

The question is how many matches in USA are stopped due to the stupid "inclement weather" federal rule. Would be a disaster especially in the last round of matches. I hope Canada and Mexico are free of this nonsense.

Price of Ticket , Mexico vs South Africa : 3000 -4800$ , insane

However, since passes are not always guaranteed, you can buy tickets for the Mexico vs. South Africa match now ,

Given the match is the tournament opener, the cheapest ticket currently costs $3,000. Category 2 seats start at $4,200 while category 1 starts at $4,800. Prices are expected to fluctuate before the tournament begins.

Asks question in English.

Answers in their native language.

This is such an annoying thing at events like this. Like that guy who came on the podium with a speech in Spanish. I mean, no blame at all if you don't speak English, there's no real shame in that and that's fine, but if you don't....then don't go on a global stage and give a speech even if you're asked to, unless someone is there translating sentence by sentence.

I only kinda know Wayne Gretzky by name, don't think I ever heard or saw him really do anything, but man, for someone called 'The Great One' that sure was an underwhelming performance by him

Pronounced half the countries like he had never even heard of them (which I assume is correct), and made it seem as though reading a card with a grand total of 4 countries on it was super difficult. Shaquille O'Neal and Aaron Judge at least clearly practiced the names in their pot. The full 'Islamic Republic of Iran' by Shaq for example, I feel like Gretzky would just have said 'I R Iran' and thought the I and R were a typo.

Gretzky actually says at one point he practiced the names and still got a lot of them wrong, including the easiest one Jordan.

    • A miracle just happen: a Dutch judoka won a medal, even gold. Joanne van Lieshout (already World Champion in 2024) had some difficult years, but is back now. Very promising, however she's our only judoka at world level.
    • A bit of a mixed session for  GB.   The Women's Team Pursuit blew up in the final and were lucky to avoid the overlap. Worth saying the GB were the only medalist that didn't make use of their substitute rider - probably not surprising given the substitute was Lauren Bell. Still a second-tier team was good enough to take a silver.   The Men's Team Pursuit had a nightmare day. Having crashed in the first qualifying run, they did enough on the rerun to get to the 1st round where they did step up and qualify for the bronze medal match. They kept it close against China for the first half before fading pretty badly to finish 4th.   I was a bit surprised that the Women's Team Sprint were beaten by China. They were leading by 0.2 seconds after Bell and Finucane had completed their laps but it looked like Parris-Smith was just way too far back.   The standout was the Men's Team Sprint. I thought they were going to have to settle for the silver but somehow managed to pull it out of the bag in the final lap.        I definitely picked the wrong section of the crowd though - caught between two competing locals. One vocally anti-China, accusing them of cheating and booing every time they were on the track. At one point he was singing God Save the King and Rule Britannia. In the end he was asked to leave.    Biggest cheer of the night was for  Lee Sze Wing's silver in the elimination race.
