Multiple MLS teams have also chose to boycott their games tonight. It seems like 5 of 6 games will not be played.

Now, both both genders can get paid whatever meager salary the Brazilian FA probably pays players :p

@Olympian1010  Yeah, male players make money in their clubs not from their country FA tbh. This is like those NBA players, they make money from the clubs and the league itself, not for playing for 'Dream Teams'. Hell, most top US basketball players don't even want to represent their country anymore.

Women's club football is only moving up but that's still long off the men's game and it will never reach that status tbh.

@Gianlu33 Meanwhile :POL Arkadiusz Milik wants to stay in Serie A. His Napoli tenure is over but he rejected an offer from RB Leipzig and apparently Roma and Fiorentina have shown interest in signing him.

the AFC Champions League group round is ongoing in Qatar (all matches in Qatar) and the defending champion Al-Hilal (KSA) is in trouble. almost their whole squad is COVID positive but they don't want to withdraw ! in few minutes they will start their last group match (against an Emirati team) with only 9 players ! they have only 11 players available including 3 GKs

Al-Hilal is already qualified, they don't care about this match but in 3 days they have to play Round of 16 and it's not clear if their players will recover in time or not, funny story for the richest club in Asia.

------------------

AFC cancelled the match because of some AFC regulations (13 players are necessary to start a match) and also forced them to withdraw (somehow disqualified) from the competition.

Pavel Hapal fired.

A few minutes ago, our federation ended its cooperation with the national team coach.

Despite advancing to the finals of the Euro 2020 qualifiers Play-Offs, The general assembly of the Slovak Football Association evaluated the results in the ongoing UEFA Nations League B (4 matches and only 1 point) and the overall very poor team's performance in the September & October matches as insufficient and not fulfilling the legitimate expectations of the professional and general public.

The last nail in the coffin was the embarassing fiasco against Israel, a match we lost after leading 2-0 at the half time (Something never happened in the whole history of our NT) !  Especially the way the team was playing this fall was legitimately marked as unacceptable.

The Czech former Czechoslovakia and later Czech Republic football NT quite decent midfielder was the coach of :SVK national team since 22 October 2018 after replacing the most successful coach in our NT history Ján Kozák. He led the team in 17 official matches with a record 6 W - 4 D - 7 L

If they hold on a bit before signing someone new, maybe they can have Frank de Boer who was appointed coach of the Dutch team late September and is not exactly doing much good :p
