Drone attempting murder on Hirscher, was that also in Italy? Dorfmeister missed a guy in Turin 2006 I believe, as well.

The drone was in Italy (Madonna di Campiglio). But the Dorfmeister incident was in St. Moritz, Switzerland.

So Marco Odermatt busted his knee yesterday. Really dumb move to continue skiing after obvious discomfort.

According to ORF, Odermatt injured himself  a few gates before finish. It was not during the big mistake at the beginning of the run.

By the way, does anyone know some news about Kristoffersen? He had knee Problems after today's final run as well.

and it's 3 in a row for :ITA Dominik Paris in Bormio (4, considering also the last Super-G)...:cheer::bowdown:

and what a race it was between him, :SUI Feuz and :AUT Mayer!

But if you consider the last super-G, it should be only 3 in a row, since then one should count the alpine combined as well in which he DNF'ed :p

maybe better say he's now at 4 consecutive wins (3 DHs and 1 SG) in the last 4 speed races (the only that count, unless we talk of world champs and/or Olympic events) held on the Stelvio Track...

but yeah, that useless AC event from 2017 in between the downhill of the same year and the 2018 + 2019 speed races technically makes his series "only" a 3-win streak overall in Bormio...:nopompom:

    • Although it was a terrible Olympics for Canada, and my two favourite sports (Hockey and Short Track) really didn't work out for us, there were a couple of fun times.    -Women's Pursuit team winning gold because while it was not unexpected at all, it was still a great triumph against an amazing adversary.    -Dubreuil getting a surprise bronze in speed skating 500m.    -Really all of speed skating, Canada and otherwise.    -I really want to say Dubois getting gold in short track, but the whole thing was a mess.    -The last two ends of the men's curling gold medal game.    -Kingsbury getting gold. But it was more relief than excitement, unfortunately.    -I really like the luge relay. Canada was not involved, unfortunately, but it's always fun to watch.    -Men's freeski big air final was nuts! In all the good ways. That was truly the highest level of competition I've seen in a very long time.    -The dog crossing the finish line in cross country, which should have been the meme of the Olympics (not that...other thing).
    • Apparent Gu and Atkin do not like each other at all anymore. They were good freinds a few years ago but now hate one another.  I’m not sure Gu and Li Fanghui like each other either that much.
    • It was also nice to have actual crowds again. I think the Beijing organizers did the best they could given the COVID regulations that still existed in China at the time, but it sure did dampen the atmosphere *a lot*.
