The IOC made a pretty big deal of it before Beijing 2022, so apparently I’m not the only one…

In terms of fan reception, Russia and Belarus competing would be met with outrage and constant booing at every session their athletes compete in. That's something the IOC definitely wouldn't want and would heavily risk if they continue to pursue this.

Looks like Bach's potential successor will continue to pursue the inclusion of Russian and Belarusian athletes.

As someone said, just ban Russia for all that systematic doping. Until they learn to respect their opponents and come clean.
