65 nations regitred for the WCH. 510 athletes

:ALG:AND:ARG:AUS:AUT:BEL:BIH:BLR:BOL:BRA:CAN:CHI:CHN:COD  :COK:CRC:CRO:CZE:ESP:EST:FIN:FRA:GBR:GER:GRE:HKG:HUN:IND:IRI:IRL:ITA:JPN:KAZ:KEN:KOR:LAT:LBN:LTU:MAR:MAS:MEX:MKD:MRI  :NED:NEP:NGR:NOR:NZL:PAR:POL:POR:RUS:SEN:SGP:SLO:SUI:SVK:SWE:THA:TPE:TUR:UKR:USA:UZB and :VEN

The detailed entry list still not released though

The Host team

:ESP

M K1  - Joan Crespo, Samuel Hernanz, David Llorente

M C1 - Ander Elosegui, Luis Fernandez, Miquel Trave

W K1 - Maialen Chourraut, Laia Sorribes, Marta Martinez

W C1 - Ainhoa Lameiro, Klara Olazabal, Nuria Vilarrubla

Can we also talk about the fact that we’ll have 6 African nations at the WCH. That’s just great to see for the sport. Realistically there’s a few more African that could send athletes if they had programs and money.

Pan Am and Asia are well represented too looking at it again. I’m very satisfied with the countries involved.

Still no detailed entry lists available on the ICF site, that´s nothing new from this federation..., but from what I read here and there around the web thanks different national federations websites and their nominations, here my small personal predictions.

M K1 is probably the most open and most balanced category and thus the most difficult to predict.

:CZE:FRA:GER:GBR:SLO:ITA:POL:AUS:USA:SVK:SUI:AUT:NZL:SWE:ESP:RUS all should be the favs for the quotas, if anyone othem miss the quota here that should be quite a surprise, but for the next 2 spots I expect a tough battle between :ARG:IRL  :POR with Antoine Launay (I am still not sure if he is eligible to compete at the Olympics though), :BRA:CANand :UKR with Igor Tsviet, :HUN:KAZ:LAT and :BEL Mathieu Doby (with favorising Portugal and Ukraine)

M C1, Only 11 quotas available at the Worlds is very hard, Expecting some surprises here. but the main favs for the quotas should be without doubts :SVK:SLO:GER:FRA:GBR:POL:RUS:CZE:ITA:USA and :ESP. However :CRO:AUS:IRL and :SEN are definitely not to be underestimated.

W K1, 18 quotas, :AUS:GER:CZE:AUT:ITA:SVK:BRA:UKR:POL:NZL:ESP:NED:USA:RUS:CHN:FRAand :SLO are the strongest bets for the quotas, :CAN:SWE:SUI and :AND the underdogs aspiring for a surprise here

W C1 Since Jessica Fox and Ana Satila will very likely qualify in the K1(same for Viktoriia Us for UKR and Luuka Jones for NZL) :AUS will have to believe in the help of her sister Noemie in C1 :ESP:CZE:FRA:AUT:USA:SLO:GBR:RUS all should qualify without much problems, but for the remaining 2 spots we can expect some really interesting battle between :AND :GER:CHN:ITA and :SVK

I hope I am wrong but I really cant see Ireland being in the shake-up to earn any quotas. Perhaps in MC1 we may have a very outside chance but still unlikely.
