Sjoestroem 23.93 in the 50 Free heats!!! Jack 24.02

 Sjöström and  Jack breeze through the 50m freestyle heats in 23.93, and 24.02 respectively. Sjöström is the heavy favorite here, but I wouldn't count out McKeon/Jack.

Looks like most countries have agreed with the order in the mixed 4x100m freestyle relay. M-M-F-F order was used in 30 of the 31 top nations with only South Africa being the exception

Women's 50m Breaststroke (advancing to semifinals):

van Niekerk barely makes it in because Schoenmaker scratched. Not a good meet for the #1 ranked swimmer in this event prior to worlds.

 

Mixed 4x100m Freestyle Relay (advancing to finals):

 Australia,  United States,  Italy,  Great Britain,  Canada,  Japan,  Brazil,  Germany

 

Men's 1500m Freestyle (advancing to finals):

 Finke,  Wiffen,  Hafnaoui,  Martens,  Romanchuk,  Short,  Rasovszky,  Aubry

 

Wellbrock finishes in 20th and fails to make another final.

Btw,  is leading the Aquatics championships with 34 medals and 20 golds (!) (although with 31 medals will maybe surpass them in totals).

still, it's wrong (and I only checked  )

 

in the pool we only have 4 silver medals so far (and no gold)

 

if they count also the open water swimming, then they should add a silver and a bronze to that list

 

hwerever you look at it, it's always full of mistakes

Sarah Sjoestroem again is 50m Fly Queen for 5th time in a row , 4th place for Farida who could have easily won bronze here if she equaled her record from last year
