Ireland doesn't have a superheavyweight so that draw sheet isn't here. Can't seem to find them anywhere else.

All of the weight divisions now down to at least the last 16.

Italy and Ukraine currently sitting top of the pile with 12 boxers still in contention whilst Armenia and Turkey are close behind both having 11 boxers left.

Ireland have lost two fighters but still have 10 in play.

It was a pretty disastrous day for GBR as they lost a further 3 bouts to leave them with 9 boxers still in contention. Also sitting on 9 fighters left are Spain, Poland and France.

Looks like we'll have more fighters entering the 2 global qualifiers than we thought, the lack of competition seems to have affected them. Hopefully we don't lose anymore of the 9.

very, very tough bout between :ITA Cavallaro and :IRL Walsh in the men's -71kg.

finally, it was the Italian to get the call by the slimmest of margin.

tbh, I didn't expect that.

    • Some Lithuanian discus results from back home got another men over 60 with Armandas Miliauskas finishing with a new pb of 60.40[he's 24 so i'm not really cheering this a whole lot,but hey he's crossed that barrier now],of course Andrius Gudžius won the comp plenty of fouls as is usual for him early in the season and at home but a 65.77 is a solid opener for someone who had no ramona plans ,it's by a few cm better than what Ceh did at the european throwing cup and actually exactly what janssen threw to win there.
