Really dude? You consider this as a matter of race?

Salty white tears free flowing from horton's busted face after Sun effortlessly won the gold medal. It's the drama queen's fault for being a noob.

I completely support Horton’s actions in the podium. There are rare times when an athlete can just upset me in a way I hate, but Sun Yang is at the top of that list.

Yes, Sun Yang has always been a piece of trash. Hopefully he gets taken down in this doping investigation

Horton doesn't seem to be much different.

Yes Horton is arrogant, but Yang is a proven and vicious cheater. There’s a difference there. I’m not a fan other either, but Horton is in the right.

There's a Brazilian swimmer who recently became an American citizen, Felipe Lima. He stated in an interview he wants to represent the United States in the future. This year he represented Brazil in 100 m breaststroke. He didn't even make the cut to the semifinals. ;)

Men’s breaststroke is non-existent in the US. It’s always the laughing stock of the Olympic trials.

You don't know multiple world champions, Olympic medalists and even medalists of only two and three years ago? I'm curious how you came up with 'it's the laughing stock of the trials' when you don't know the main athletes :p

Our commentators have always that it’s a weak event for us. I guess I need to refresh my swimming knowledge.

I like Ledecky but she is not unbeatable.  Very happy for the Australian girl.  Very deserving

Of course she's not unbeatable, but she's very tough to beat too. This is an amazing achievement for TItmus ;)

It’s the weakest stroke for the US, but it doesn’t mean it’s a weak stroke. US swimming is so deep they can still win medals in their worst events.

    • Yeah, we have such a strong crop of Juniors, that we can’t take them all. They all have exciting trajectories but to predict what Junior swimmers will is always difficult. Better to let them all swim together at Juniors than rocketing them all up to seniors and swimming a prelim and going home.
    • Hanlon is the most unlucky, in my opinion. Aside from relay cover, she's the 50m champ and they made a point of including consideration for those events being in LA for the other discretionary picks. Essentially she has the same case for selection as Max Morgan (albeit without the trajectory right now).   Blocksidge's form was way off this week (compared to her previous bests). Obviously being still young you could put that down to relative inexperience. Still, she has World and European Juniors that she could still be selected for this summer. There's an argument that performing well at those might be as beneficial as going to Singapore.   That said, I'm happy that they did take a bunch of discretionary picks. That's not always been the case.
