I suspect it means LIV golfers will be eligible for Olympics. This was the only way since majors allowed these players to compete and the Ryder Cup would be a no-win for Europe if the best Americans would be missing (I'm not sure if LIV Americans would be banned outright but I heard that wouldn't be the case?). Overall LIV totally forced the PGA changes after they lost the monopoly on the sport (European Tour was long playing second fiddle anyway). Even forcing players to attend certain tournaments at least once in a four year span is gone from next PGA season IIRC.

:CAN Nick Taylor won the Canadian Open. Adam Hadwin wanted to congratulate him but was mistaken for a crazy fan and promptly tackled by the security :p I mean if this happened in Middle East or USA then I could understand it but it appears Hadwin is unrecognizeable even in his own country :roflmao:

For all the PGA-LIV merger/takeover hoopla Wyndham Clark winning US Open must be the most anonymous and low-key moment for years. There's literally nothing worth remembering from this tournament at all - aside that McIlroy's putting is horrendous as usual and it cost him another victory in the big picture.

sloppy start for the US team, great start for the European team

result: 3-0 Europe and the 4th pair 2 up with 3 holes to play...it would be the first clean sweep for Europe in a morning session, the 4th overall (last one, in 2018)

a lot more people than expected on the course, a bright sunny day, the course perfectly setup (in a very tough and "homish" manner); despite all the idiots trying to cause problems (as it happens for any event organized in Italy), it's already a great success

    • Atalanta is probably playing the most beautiful football in Europe right now: spectacular and effective. It's nice to watch and they don't have to spend a lot of money for it.   Inter is playing very economically. It's not impressive but it's consistently collecting points. It's also the only team in the Champions League that hasn't conceded a goal this season.   Milan played very poorly yesterday but they won. They have 9 points and are close to qualifying for the play-offs.

    • Unfortunate, but it doesn't change the fact that I'm looking forward to Thursday evening, when the team captain's meeting is over and we have our very first World Cup start list of the season. Always a cool moment to see who's there and everything
    • Today I unpacked some of the boxes in which we have put my way too many books to move to our house, and I came across these beauty's I hadn't seen for a while     Absolutely recommended, tough to get for a decent price, but they are such an interesting read with lots of very interesting little stories! Still looking for at least 1900, 1904 and 1906, but not really in the right moment to spend money on that now, so the wait goes on
