Most interesting medal for Brazil was the third consecutive gold for Leo de Deus in 200m Butterfly. Originally, he was not part of the list of athletes competing in Lima, and just earned the spot because one of the relay guys (Gabriel Santos) was caught doping.

After two nights, Canada hasn't medaled in only 1 event for women's (200m free), and Ackman finished 4th there.  Still no golds, though.

Interesting strategy by Canada to go with the female swimmers at the start.  It did not pay off at all, of course.

The Canadian, Acevedo, has the fastest qualifying time going into the men's backstroke today.  Wonder how that'll work out.  Our men haven't been the strongest.

I'm not expecting much after seeing his freestyle split on the relay last night.

He did finish 4th in the 200m, coming in as the 4th fastest qualifier.  But I'll wait to see the prelims at least to judge his chances.
