[OFF TOPIC] Your Own Excercise Thread

Recommended Posts

I haven´t been very active on this forum for a few years but some of you knew, when I had another user name, that i play curling (I even organized an online curling tournament for the totalympic users).

Focusing on gym and running now in the summer but during season I practice curling a lot and compete at swedish top-elite level. Have been competing at the World juniors and Curling world cup.

So I just impromptu decided to attempt the world’s tallest sport Climbing Wall because I happened to be driving by. I made 2/3 up the wall (100ft of Climbing, with and additional 20ft off the ground), had a slight panic attack about how high I was and then requested to be lowered when I still had a little more left to give. I when on to top 2 easy lead walls, and 3 beginner boulders. This is not a bad experience for only my 10th (around that many) time Climbing.

P.S The Wall is anchored to the side of building so I was exposed to a good breeze and could hear people talking about how crazy I was. Not the best atmosphere for climbing.

In case someone really has no better sports to follow tomorrow from 10:30 CET, through this app (once in there, select Amersfoort Marathon) my epic/deadly half marathon debut can be followed (if it all works well :p ).

Fingers crossed. Have a few friends doing the half marathon tomorrow here in Aarhus as well (could very well be my target for next year).

Haven't been running much myself the last month due to campaigning, but started again thursday (with a surprising 5km PB) and 6km today. I have a plan ready and believe that I'll be ready for the 12km in 2½ months if I follow it.

Joining in on the thread. I'm pretty much a runner, but I'm still very slow. Although planning to improve the times during Summer still...

5km - 26:50

10km - 1:00:55
