:NGR fans were not really happy with the outcome yesterday as well, the least what can we say...but yeah destroying own stadium is not the smartest move neither

Also :EGY apparently fielded an official protest against Senegal for the Disco Laser show last night and the attacks against the team bus which ended by injuries of several team members and racist insults towards Salah

Destroying stadiums (Nigeria), the football asociation (Senegal) or the house who lost the penalty (Cameroon) are tradition in the football of Africa, dont make nothing after the elimination it will be against honor and tradition.

looks like Canada didn't want Pot 3 after all. it will be Tunisia in pot 3

Costa Rica also beat USA 2-0. they were 4 goals short from direct qualification spot. just 4 goals :d

Well, with Canada losing to Panama they are guaranteed to be in pot 4 for the draw now.  USA losing to CR is interesting, good thing for GD (for the Americans).

Redemption for :USA as they're headed to Qatar despite the loss after missing out on 2018 thanks to a loss to Trindad & Tobago

Knowing our luck Poland will draw Canada now and promptly lose their first WC match to a CONCACAF team

:POL is 4-0-0 vs CONCACAF teams (7-0 vs  :HAI in 1974, 3-1 vs :MEX in 1978, 3-1 vs :USA in 2002 and 2-1 vs :CRC in 2006).

    • Here's a comparison relative to 2024 (I removed the new team sports to make it more comparable). This ignores Belarus and Russia.   Largest Increases Relative to 2024 1.  +58 2.  +44 3. +31 4.  +29 4.  +29 6.  +28 7.  +27 8.  +24 9.  +22 10.  +21 10.  +21   Unsurprisingly, the United States is expected to see the largest increase thanks to host quotas. It's not as massive as previous host nations, but that's because they don't need host quotas for most sports. South Africa is looking at a big increase, but only if they accept the water polo quotas this time around.     Largest Decreases Relative to 2024 1.  -135 2.  -43 3.  -38 4.  -33 5.  -31 6.  -29 7.  -28 8.  -26 8.  -26 10.  -23 10.  -23   Again, no surprise to see France topping the list as they no longer benefit from host quotas. Ireland takes heavy losses not only by losing two large team events, but is generally down in most sports. Interestingly, Italy has the same number of large team events, but it's the drop in athletics and rowing which caused it to be so high up in the list.
