LDOG 2,428 Posted October 12, 2021 #501 Share Posted October 12, 2021 Greece still has a chance but they would need to beat Spain (and Kosovo) and then wait for Sweden to hold Spain to a draw last game (though in this scenario Sweden would probably arrive to the last match already qualified after beating Georgia). Ultimately those lost points against Georgia and Kosovo killed their chances. Also interesting to see what will happen in France's group between Ukraine, Bosnia and Finland. So many different outcomes are possible. Every other group will have a pretty straightforward resolution. Expand Exactly this. If not for that then today's result wouldn't have had as much importance. Those two draws really damaged our chances. Especially the one against Kosovo, it was so foolish to take Tsimikas off for the last few minutes and then we ended up conceding the equaliser due to a mistake made by his replacement. If we beat Andorra in the next game (kinda probable) then Albania would have to beat England on the road to prevent us from securing 2nd place with one game left after that. Expand After last night's rage of Albanian fans, Albania will probably be punished by taking away points so Poland is safe on second position Link to comment https://totallympics.com/forums/topic/1574-mens-football-fifa-world-cup-2022/page/51/#findComment-423943 Share on other sites
NearPup 3,249 Posted October 14, 2021 #504 Share Posted October 14, 2021 gets a crucial 4-1 home win against fourth place thanks in part to a ridiculous individual effort by Alphonso Davies. LDOG 2,428 Posted October 14, 2021 #506 Share Posted October 14, 2021 are already escaping from the pack as it should be given the individual quality at their disposal. I still favor to get 4th. They were fine this window without Bailey and Antonio.
