Simply, Russia will win this. No way that someone can beat them. Too much USSR countries + not bad performance at all.

Well, last year Russia also had an amazing song, probably even better than this year, if I remember correctly even here everyone predicted them to win however Sweden won ;) let's wait and find out :)

My favourite Volleyball position: LIBERO. You ask why? Look here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyIOarNAONk

I hope that Australia will win, although the performance was pretty weird. The german song and the australian song are the only 2 songs that i would listen to on Youtube.

I know that we wont win, so i will cheer for Australia, but their problem is that they dont have any "neighbors" who will always give them points, this might be the biggest advantage of Russia. I hope that Russia/Italy/Sweden wont win, Australia and even France would be ok for me. Overall the quality is really bad, most songs are very "average" and will be forgotten in a couple of weeks.

Spain was pretty good, hopefully they will finish top 5.

I know that the ukrainian song has a pretty meaningful text, but i didnt like the sound at all and she was overacting in my opinion, hopefully people wont give her points just to vote against russian politics.

Great show by Georgia, back to the 80s ... :d

The austrian girl sings in french? Sorry, but how stupid is that?

Why is that stupid?
If that's the language she usually sings in.

    • There is a transgender volleyball player here in Brazil; there was even a recent controversy (this year) when a city banned her from playing in a certain competition, which ended up in court, ultimately in her favor.   But the situation is much simpler than that; the reason for this decision is because of the two female boxers who won at Paris 2024 (who apparently are not transgender).

    • Where did you get that?   I'm not sure I would have considered her to have dissapeared from out of nowhere, at least since after Tokyo... she did win medals at the next two World Championships. I think it's just recently, she's been struggling with injury which is why she's completely out of form...
    • Even though I'm not the biggest fan of her, always sucks to see a career ending through injury and not on your own terms
    • This is going to have an effect on very likely 0 athletes, possibly 1 or 2 we don't really know about yet. It's really mostly the cheapest possible way for them to make a sort of political statement, without having any significant backlash since it won't really affect anyone at the top level of international sports.   Edit: worded a bit wrong, I was thrown off by everywhere 'trans women' being mentioned as the target of this. Of course there is also the somewhat larger category of DSD and the likes, which will certainly affect a few athletes - unfortunately they are often thrown under the bus or mentioned as 'not really women anyway' or something like that, despite, you know, being.

    • People focus on trans people because it's easier to pinpoint the affected athletes. Meanwhile it's the athletes with (suspected) DSDs that will have tougher time to convince the authorities and the public opinion that they belong to women's sports.
