It’s all fun and games until the losers are sent to the glue factory. That’s how we handle things on the American team.

On the contrary, eventing is often a second career for the horses that don't make it in horse racing business (especially in the USA)... ;)

That would explain why the quality of our art class glue has gone down...

Erin Sylvester and wonderfully named Paddy The Caddy lead with 20 more combinations to go.

Livestream of the final stage is available here.

:EGY Nayel Nassar won Masters Tournament in New York  , another great victory for Egyptian riding , btw there's something funny that shows how corrupted sport here in Egypt Nayel wasn't chosen to represent Egypt in last WEG in USA where he's based just because the federation president wanted one his friends' son to participate

If that's what happens to the riders, what happens to the horses?

@Vojthas Some exciting results at the Polish eventing championships (which also served as international 4* event). I imagine this was sort of a selection event for the Polish team for Group C qualifier?

Well, I didn't see any rules of selecting for the qualifier, but for sure the team manager will take these results under consideration. If we qualify Spisak will have a chance for his 5th Olympics - he would be only the 17th Pole to do so in 100-year-old history of Polish Olympic Movement (ok, minus four years as we didn't participate in 1920 Olympics due to war against Soviet Union).

Final session of dressage at Badminton Horse Trials is in progress... Live stream and live scores are available at the respective links.

Total British domination, however this looks to be the least international Badminton possibly ever... Nevertheless, team gold for next year is decided.

    • Weightlifting formula is more or less similar to 2020 which was considered terrible by everybody!    this is a tough sport, you can't be in your best shape for too many events. there will be risks of serious injuries this way. with these rules you need 5 good results to qualify. if you bomb out in an event to score a zero you are out of the Olympics unless you replace it with another event. which means most of these poor guys have to participate in 7-8 events (and not just 5) to make up for possible bomb outs.    most importantly if you get injured anytime during this period (almost 2 years) you are out of the Olympics! that's how Sohrab Moradi missed the Tokyo Olympics despite breaking the WR during the qualification period. you can miss the Olympics in 2028 if you get injured late 2026 !  Karlos Nasar couldn't win the Olympic title if we had these rules in 2024   I understand 2024 qualification formula wasn't great either, it had its own flaws but this one is much worse for threatening athletes' health.
