Davidova a WC winner already while Kamila Zuk comes 51st. In less than a year Davidova has pulled way ahead of Zuk who dominated last year's WJC. And Davidova still gives away a ton of time on the range due to her breath technique.

 

Dahlmeier was dead on her legs in the last 300m. Almost tripped over the cone at the final bend.

I immediately became a fan of Davidova when i first saw her. I think she will become the first foreign biathlete i ever cheered for. Would be nice to see her dominate once Dahlmeier retires.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

The fact that she said it wasn't even her best ski race, and that she's still shooting so slowly... there's limitless potential! :) :) I'm so happy for her. Czech fans are very tough- whenever nobody gets into the top 10, you have tons of people immediately calling for the coach to resign or to get rid of the athletes or something. But whenever that happens they end up getting proven wrong.

      Finals are set    An all-Canadian final on the women’s side, as Team Homan looks to win their third title of the season (and improve to 18-1) against a hungry Team Einarson who have had a less than ideal start to the season, they were also the last Canadian team to beat Homan over a year ago (same event coincidentally), while on the men’s side it’ll be a battle between Olympic medalists as Team Mouat goes against Team Gushue!

      yeah I know    I mean it wasn't a different team specific for that sport. it was the same CC team participating in both sports.

      from what I heard , Iran has registered to participate in Alpine, CC skiing, SkiMo, Skating (they didn't mention which discipline ) and ... (this one will be surprising ) ... Curling    Curling is not a sure thing yet, the NOC has to approve it. the team is very new. I mean very very new, only few months ago they gathered few people to start the sport  you can't lose 100-0 in Curling, right ?    anyway it will be first time ever Iran participating outside of FIS disciplines. ( I didn't count Ski orienteering in 2011 which was the same as CC)   nobody cares about winter sports here. therefore finishing last won't have consequences. they can afford sending very weak teams. (which is not the case for the main Asian Games)

      11 medals out of 15 athletes. for whatever reason  we sent an incomplete team of 16 athletes (only 1 left for tomorrow) I wish I knew why  I can guess though   the result is indeed very good in such a competitive sport but lack of talent was never our problem in taekwondo. it was always there probably much more than any other country.    but the problem is the transition to the senior team. most of previous junior world champions never even made the senior team. (the new federation is doing better in this regard though)
