Skateboarding WS Park World Championships 2018

Recommended Posts

:POL Amelia Brodka fell during her training run at the world championships and lost consciousness, so unfortunately European Champion didn't start in today's women's qualis, but fortunately she is ok now.

I am unashamed, at getting nothing done.

Couldnt believe we had a participant in Women's category. Though finished 34th in the heat. Good to see that though we were there in it.

Is 'girls' just the super urban way to call women in this sport or is this a junior category?

Is just Skateboard's way of describing female homo sapiens.

Why just not call them "Chick" or something while they're at it? Very urban.

Then one of them becomes IOC president and in 2056 or something we are introduced to ''Mr XX YYY, the 2020 dudes Olympic skateboarding champ"

.

I will say most of the "women" in top 8 could be considered girls.

1. Sakura Yosozumi, age 16

2. Kisa Nakamura, age 18

3. Poppy Starr Olsen, age 18

4. Jordyn Barratt, age 19

5. Misugu Okamoto, age 12

6. Bryce Wettstein, age 14

7. Kokona Hiraki, age 10 :yikes:

8. Isadora Rodrigues Pacheco, age 13

When you are 19, you are a veteran in Skateboard park.

    • Suspect strongly that the Sultan of  is behind Global Wushu!     Another one is long distance & ultra triathlon.  There are literally millions being paid out in prize money to attract big name athletes from several sports, huge FTA TV coverage but seemingly no prospect of any profit.   And the classic is obstacle racing, which has effectively bought up the ownership of Modern Pentathlon.
    • apparently the Japanese organizers rejected OCA's nice request    now OCA is ordering them to do so in a not-so-nice language https://oca.asia/media/attachments/memberships_subcommittee/5/Decision_-_103rd_OCA_EB_Meeting_5ypY8y4.pdf   the last line is very interesting   I knew this for a while, for example that's why Jujjtsu is included in all of OCA events (despite being the worst sport to watch) but good to see OCA admit this. so with the corrupt OCA you can buy your way in. how much they paid the OCA officials for this ?   OK I know Qatar is financially supporting Padel (and UAE is paying everything for Jujitsu) but who is behind Teqball?  ! I don't think Thailand can do that.
