I will cheer for figure skating :USA Nathan Chen or :JPN Yuzuru Hanyu whoever shows the best form. And also :ROC Kamila Valieva, a total enjoyment seeing her skating.

Going to go ahead and predict you'll get your wish xD

A duel where both Chen and Hanyu are at their best would be amazing.

:CZE Marketa Davidova

:ITA Dorothea Wierer (individual medal)

:EST Kelly Sildaru

:SWE Frida Karlsson

:SLO anyone in ski jumping

:USA Brittany Bowe

In mixed curling, :AUS Australia getting a medal, as difficult as it seems.

In men's curling, Edin winning gold.

In women's curling, my ideal final would be between :ROC ROC and :KOR South Korea.

I only have :EST Kelly Sildaru and :JPN Yuzuru Hanyu on my mind... Originally planning to add Liu Shaoang but will he able to join his teammates in Beijing?

Liu Shaoang is believed to take the flight today to Beijing. He was tested positive 10 days prior to the games so somehow luckily still had enough time to turn negative.

Ahhh nice to know that

The ones which are at least possible are also the only ones that would probably make me literally jump out of my chair :d

Baiba Bendika :LAT and Anna Weidel :GER, both in biathlon.

Baiba because she has been so kind and super involved in training Bruna for almost a year, instead of just giving some tips (which was the original question), she took over the entire training and wrote full and detailed plans based on actual feedback and such, truly wonderful. Plus her sometimes torturous strength trainings gave Bruna a set of nearly iron abs which prevented a whole lot of internal damage in the accident, so that's good. Anna simply because she is too kind. We already knew that, but even more so now: despite being focused on the Olympics, in a team where it really is about actual medals, she is offering whatever help she can and...yeah, generally just a super kind person.

Something Brazilian would be cool, but I doubt that'll happen in cross-country skiing (cool as it would be) :p And the tiny, existing, but very tiny mega outside chance in skeleton would be awesome of course, but I'm not really 'personally invested' in that, unlike the two biathlon ones.

.

Sara Takanashi :JPN  - Ryōyū Kobayashi :JPN in ski jumping.

Anybody who isn't norwegian in cross-country. :D Jessica Diggins :USA, Iivo Niskanen :FIN, Federico Pellegrino :ITA .

Everybody from "small" wintersports nations.

Going for Danish athletes :DEN. I see Denmark a lot like my country, we have overbearing neighbours who win a ton of medals. In our case the summer games (Australia). Denmark's case their fellow Nordic giants and Germany in the winter games.

Of course Australia :AUS in particular Scotty James in HP.

I have a Russian grandfather :ROC. So will have a keen eye on how they go I guess. Although not a keen follower on Russia in sport coz you know 😉.  But that's for another day lol.

    • (Quiet gaming, zero social pressure, no calls, no KYC… just peace.) As someone who’s definitely on the introverted side, I’ve always hated anything that feels intrusive — long registrations, support calls, verification uploads, or sites that spam you into interacting. So over the past year, I tested a bunch of crypto casinos specifically to see which ones are introvert-friendly: ✔ no forced KYC ✔ fast payouts (so no long back-and-forth with support) ✔ clean, quiet UI ✔ no pop-ups and no social pressure ✔ easy deposits ✔ minimal interaction needed Below is what actually worked for me. ⭐ My Top Crypto Casinos for Introverts (Real Testing Results) Casino Why It’s Introvert-Friendly Speed Link JackBit Quiet UI, no KYC, instant payouts 7 min 👉 Play at JackBit BetWhale Low-pressure bonuses, simple layout 14 min 👉 Play at BetWhale BitStarz Fast cashouts, no forced conversations 9 min 👉 Play at BitStarz ThunderPick Clean minimalist design 18 min 👉 Play on ThunderPick 7Bit Casino Extremely chill, no notifications 22 min 👉 Play at 7Bit 1. BetWhale – Best for Quiet Bonus Hunters BetWhale surprised me — their bonuses are generous without requiring chats, emails, or ID checks. Why it works for introverts: Wagering progress updates silently No pushy pop-ups The whole site feels “low-pressure” Support never contacts you unless you message first It’s a very low-interaction platform.   👉 Play at BetWhale (Smooth & Simple) 3. BitStarz – Fast Payouts Means Less Interaction BitStarz is great if you want to deposit, play, withdraw and leave — quick and efficient, no conversations needed. What I like: Withdrawals are some of the fastest online No random KYC prompts if you use crypto Very stable gameplay (no need to contact support) A calm, mature-feeling interface Perfect for players who like things to “just work.”   👉 Play at BitStarz (Quick & Quiet Gaming) 4. ThunderPick – Best for Introverts Who Like Betting Too ThunderPick has one of the smoothest, cleanest interfaces I’ve used. Everything is intuitive and visually quiet — no clutter, no noise. Introvert-friendly perks: Great for casual betting without chat rooms Mobile interface is extremely calm No forced community features You can switch between casino & sports without talking to anyone     👉 Play on ThunderPick (Minimalist Interface) 5. 7Bit – The Chillest, Quietest Crypto Casino 7Bit feels like a casino designed for people who want to be left alone. Why I recommend it: No aggressive marketing No forced KYC unless you use fiat Huge game library with silent browsing Simple cashier with no need for support interactions It’s a very relaxed environment.   👉 Play at 7Bit (Totally Low-Pressure) Final Thoughts — The Introvert’s Casino Shortlist If you want a quiet, private gaming experience without feeling watched, talked to, or pressured: 🏆 Best Overall for Introverts: JackBit 🏆 Best Quiet Bonus Experience: BetWhale 🏆 Fastest Stress-Free Payouts: BitStarz 🏆 Best Minimalist UI: ThunderPick 🏆 Most Chill Game Library: 7Bit
    • It's not a coincidence that a lot of the matches that are earlier in the day are in Atlanta and Houston and Dallas where they have roofs.  And most of the games in the outdoor stadiums are later in the day.
    • The best athletes will all be there anyway – it's easier to get a spot in the top 10-15. Only the great champions were ahead of Gismondi today.
    • They are not "oppressed enough" to be mention here.
    • And remember the Olympic Paradox - it is slightly easier to get a medal at the Olympics than at a World Cup because in the Olympics the numbers of racers from the powerful nations are capped at 4.
    • Jimmy Mariano  basketball. 84 years old.   Member of the Philippine men’s basketball team at the 1972 Summer Olympics. Flag bearer for the Philippine delegation at those Games.
    • Franchi had a similarly impressive performance at the 2023 World Championships on the same distance but later she completly missing. I hope that with Gismondi will be different, especially since she was already a great talent in her junior years. The problem in Italy is that for the past 15 years, aside from Pellegrino, there has been a miss of stability in other athletes: there are some booms of excellent form, but later they disappear. I also worry that funding for cross-country skiing will be cut after the Cortina Olympics.
    • The last day was a great success, for first. Secondly, even 20 medals are fewer than the 22 from 2023 and 34 from 2021
