WADA Statement on German television documentary alleging systematic doping in China during the 1980s and 1990s

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has seen the 21 October documentary by German broadcaster ARD alleging systematic doping in China during the 1980s and 1990s; and, questioning whether such a system may have prevailed beyond these decades. The allegations were brought forward by former Chinese physician, Xue Yinxian, who is said to have looked after several national teams in China during the decades in question.

While WADA was only formed in November 1999 as the international, independent, agency tasked with combatting doping in sport, the Agency will ensure that, if action is warranted and feasible under the World Anti-Doping Code (Code), the necessary and appropriate steps will be taken.  As a first step, the Agency has asked its independent Intelligence and Investigations (I&I) team to initiate an investigative process in order to collect and analyze available information in coordination with external partners.

The Code, which first came into being in 2003, is the core document that harmonizes anti-doping policies, rules and regulations across sports organizations and countries around the world. Prior to the Code, anti-doping efforts were disjointed and uncoordinated across sports and countries

WADA trying to stay relevant by starting a pointless investigation lmao. European countries will probably be fragmented already by the time WADA come to their senses and realize that their phony investigation will lead to nothing.

Ah another sport that white men dominate, truly suspicious. Europeans are good at hiding their dopers. If you squeeze an average european athlete to death you will probably able to extract a glass full of doping juices.

Philippines have almost no record of doping, our athletes are very clean. Other countries should take notes.

Ethiopia too haven't case of doping.. Italy have a lot of athletes that are positive. You know why? This is because NADO Italia is the most rigorous national antidoping agency in the world.. they do a lot of tests.. before Rio2016 our flagbeerer Federica Pellegrini was tested 3 times in a week  They test a lot of athletes in amateur events too..

I don't wont say that in Philippines our state help the athletes to doping but a lot of states don't have the our test and our law.. just an example? Sara Errani was positive in a test, ITF (International Tennis Federation) gave her 1 month of disqualification.. our NADO appealed to the TAS becouse they want 2 years of disqualification :p

Just looked up some statistics for 2015 (2016 is not available yet)

The Chinese Anti-Doping Organization tested 4600 samples in that year.

Italy took 3600, Russia 5500, France 4200, GB 3000, Bermuda 55, Monaco 49

Philippines 3.

That's because they have no problem, so testing is not needed

Compared to about 1700 in Denmark (2016) it really doesn't look like that much...

Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
