So I know that you can't take anything for granted in the wiki retirement thread, because they always make mistakes (for example: Kočergina has not announced anything about retiring, but she's on the list)...

but seriously, did Japan completely take away the funding from biathlon, because their entire team seems to be retiring??

Sometimes I have this crazy urge to waste my time, hopefully someone finds this interesting, the list on retirements of biathletes from the past 9 competitive seasons (3 post-Olympic ones) that Wikipedia wrote about: mistakes are inevitable, only highlighted some biathletes from said country.

Gwizdoń didn't officialy retired yet. She said something like that she want broke another records in next season, but I don't know if she was serious or not. Did you forgot about Krystyna Guzik who officialy retired last year.

I didn't forget Krystyna, but as I've said, I followed only the info that was on the wiki, so I couldn't recall which year was her last.

Great stat on British Eurosport: Vittozzi has missed 3 or more 13 times this season.  Got more issues than Paris Match.

Yeah, that has been one of the main things this season. I truly wonder where that's coming from, obviously Vittozzi is not a bad biathlete by any stretch of the imagination, but this season it's utterly terrible in terms of specifically her first prone shooting bout...

One would almost imagine there's some serious personal issue in the background that's going on, it's nonsense to think it's just a matter of "she's not mentally strong" for example. I hope she can get rid of this...

She's probably mentally devastated, because her best friend in the team is thinking about retiring.
