Alpine Skiing FIS World Cup 2021 - 2022

Going to take a much longer chain of improbable circumstances for Wendy Holdener to win a slalom.  :surprise:

Kind of funny that she has three world cup wins, three World Championship gold medals and an Olympic gold, none of which are in any of the four "core" disciplines. Weird career.

Apparently the course got slightly better, but also got visually much worse overnight due to wind bringing even more leaves.

Also, the rain is expected over the day before temperature starts to drop, so.... There's that.

It's a shame since tomorrow brings some snow and temperatures well below zero...

They should easily organize race on January 6th, when there is holiday, it was always on 6th, I know, Adelboden is so close, but maybe they should ski through the day (10.00 / 13.00).

Still watching the women's second run, but surely this must be one of the more laughable competitions in recent alpine skiing World Cup memory? :p

I mean, hats off to the organizers, being able to even hold the competition in conditions like this is impressive to say the least :d

Apparently they have been arguing all morning with FIS about today's M SL. FIS wants to just give up, but the organizers are quite determined. :p

As of right now, it looks like the men's race is a go. Curious how quickly the temperature will drop. There is a chance the later numbers in Run 1 will have much improved conditions.

I am watching right now on HRT, they are all very happy with course, regarding hard conditions, but on official live FIS app it says, 1st run is postponed.

EDIT: Fog and strong wind.
