Well this week-end is stating well…

Czerwonka seems to be ok, at least. Presumably Coopmans will be out for a bit and have quite the headache due to the concussion, but it seems like that's going to be all and he'll be mostly fine in a few days.

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Dutch speed skating world was ready for the battle between Leerdam and Kok and a potential first ever sub-37 for a Dutch skater.....anticlimactic, Leerdam thought it was a false start and stopped, but it wasn't

Kok went on and broke the 37-second barrier :cheer:

My hatred for the mass start will just never dissipate.

If it was a point race? Great. If it was a scratch race? Also great. But a scratch race to decide positions 1-4 and a point race to decide the minor placings? That's just madness.

I don't say this lightly when I say this event probably has the worst format of any Olympic event.

:CAN just won it's second women's team pursuit race in a row, though in this case entirely because of a fall from the Japanese team.

Japan, incidentally, almost beat the last place :USA team despite falling with one lap to go (this American team is not going to qualify for the Olympics, despite being the defending bronze medalists).

Japan was well on their way to beating their own world record, but yeah...gotta stay on your skates.
