Exciting  qualifiers for the women. Two of the europesn medalists incl. The Champions, and Two of the 2018 olympic medalist nations are here and only two spots to play for in this adult toy controversial event:roflmao: some countries stopped the broadcast in the mixed doubles after then realised an adult toy company was a sponsor

Apparently there has been a whole deal about the main sponsor of the event....EasyToys, one of the main shops for sex toys. Eventually their logo has even been removed, most likely due to pressure from the international federation. One can only assume prude Americans played a role in this

Makes me think of this :p

Spoiler

Thomas violence @thomas_ violence love little cultural differences, like how Americans are super offended by the

Edit: Apparently it was mentioned here already, hadn't noticed, sorry :p But yeah, the only problems are coming from people who aren't able to see that it's nothing more than a company selling perfectly legal products, surprisingly :d

South Korea & Japan qualified out of the round robin for the four team play-off.  The winner of the Round Robin gets an auto Q for Beijing, then 2-4 must play-off in a curling Cage Match of Death!!! For the remaining two places.

:TUR bizarrely won against the top three teams ( :SCO:JPN:KOR ) and lost to everyone else.

Anyway, three way tie at the top, :GBR qualifies for the Olympics due to having a better DCS (bleh). :JPN and :KOR will play-off for the second Olympic spot, the loser of that game will play-off against :LAT for the final Olympic spot.

The number of NOCs is now final at 14, one up from Pyeongchang.

:GBR qualify for the Olympics by 6.88cm!  :roflmao:

To the uninitiated. There's three teams with a 6-2 record.

:KOR beat :SCO

:SCO beat :JPN

:JPN beat :KOR

So all three teams absolutely tied.

In that case only, the result is decided on a measured throw which all teams must make before the Round Robin starts.

If it had been a simple two way tie, the result would be decided on the result of the matches between the two teams.

DSC is one of the worst tie-breaker in sports and I absolutely hate it. Especially now that they have eliminated tie-breakers in International curling...

    • now the shooting sport takes a little Christmas break and the new season resumes in January with the Asian Championships for the Shotgun specialists ( Doha, Jan. 11th through 22nd)   the World Cup will be back in late March, beginning in  Tangiers (March 25th through April 3rd, Shotgun specialists only)   the Rifle and Pistol specialists will start their new season with the European 10m Championships in  Yerevan (Feb. 27th through March 5th) and the 1st World Cup stage for them will be in  Granada in April (5th through 13th)   300m, 25m and 50m European Champs will be in  Osijek (May 30th through June 21st), meanwhile the Shotgun European Champs will be held in  Athens from Sept. 27th through Oct. 13th

    • USA will.play in California then Seattle then California ...why hell this long distance , teams should stay in 1 place , this is tiring even for spectators
    • so, the 2025 season is officially over, after the World Cup Finals have been completed with the Shotgun events, where (once again!!!) a new format for the final stage of each event has been experimented for the first time (before it becomes a regular feature in the next season)   the new format enlarge the starting field in each event's final stage to 8 shooters and dramatically shortens the number of target shots to decide the placings   the only characteristic remaining is the progressive eliminations principle   now, as written above, 8 shooters make the final, where after only 12 targets the eliminations start: by then, the last 2 shooters must leave the competition (7th and 8th ranked)   after 12 more targets (24 in total), 2 more shooters have to leave the final (5th and 6th ranked)   then, the crazy carousel starts: every 4 targets we have a new elimination  so, after 28 targets, the 4th ranked shooter is done; after 32 targets the bronze medallist is known and after only 36 targets (provided there's no need for a shoot-off), compared to the previous 60, the gold and silver medallists are crowned   I guess the tiktok people with the attention span of a chinchilla have won once again
