That obviously would have changed the landscape of the trials when Erin Jackson finished 3rd and Brittany Bowe give up her spot for Jackson to be 1 of the 2 skaters Paris 2024 competition schedule by Day Paris 2024 competition schedule by Sport

It also seems as if the provisional quota file was incorrect/incomplete as the number of quota per distances was mostly lower than the actual event quota according to the original qualification document. For example, the provisional quota list had 27 entry quota's on the women's 500m, even though the qualification document stated that the maximum number of skaters on the women's 500m would be 30. As a result, a lot of reserves have been added. Dennis 712 Posted January 24, 2022 #346 Share Posted January 24, 2022 As a result: , & are now definitely in. Sandrine Tas had one quota (mass start) and how has four (500m, 1.000m, 1.500m and mass start) could have had 3 quotas on the women's side, but only decided to keep the 1 quota they already had on the mass start. could have 3 quota on the men's 1.000m, but now only have 1. refusing the quota on the men's 1.000m means they will have no male skaters in Beijing. In total there are 27 countries with at least one confirmed quota (2018: 29 countries).

Are we sure refused a quota? https://focustaiwan.tw/sports/202201190016 " Two more athletes are currently on a reserve waiting list and will know if they qualify for the Winter Olympics by Saturday, the Sports Administration said." Could it be that the maximum number of quota was reached and that was the first one missing out, whereas can enter an athlete that already had a quota on another distance? intoronto

You can only get a reallocation quota if not add an extra person.

And I'm sure Brittany Bowe knew that when she gave her spot after the trials to Erin Jackson knowing there would be a good chance the US would get a 3rd skater entered. Looking forward to that final. It'll be the morning of the Super Bowl here and a very reasonable 9am ET.
