Krol, Otterspeer and Verbij qualified on the men’s 1.000m. First ever qualification for Otterspeer near the end of his career.

Nuis fails to qualify. He must have flashbacks to 2010 and 2014 when he was also one of the favorites to qualify and he missed out.

Bad news for someone like N’tab that Otterspeer qualified over Nuis.

There are now eight people on the men's matrix. The 1500m is going to be a very nervous wait for N'tab...

His only hope is Roest and Krol both qualifying. None of the other guys have a chance.

And even then he’s not sure as there’s someone missing for the team pursuit next to Roest/Kramer (maybe Bergsma) and the mass start next to Bergsma. I think Bosker would be a good one for both teams.

Awesome to see Otterspeer qualify, finally :hyper:

And no Nuis. Oh well, he already has his gold so it's excellent to see Otterspeer over him :p

And Otterspeer will probably also grab the sweepstake 500 m quota won by Ntab?

Possible. Eight men 'qualified' so far, with Bosker being a likely addition for the team pursuit and mass start. Which means Ntab will probably have to hope the entire top-3 of tomorrow's 1500m is filled with qualified athletes, but....that's not likely. You know, Nuis.

Watching Nuis and Otterspeer race and then sit and watch the final two races together was some incredible television!
