Honestly I expected more from Tzengko. This has been a pretty disappointing season for her, although she won gold at the European U20s and silver at the World U20s so I shouldn't complain. However she had better SBs in 2019 and 2020 which is concerning for an 18 year old. Normally at such young ages you expect athletes to improve their PB every year.

 

In 12 competitions this year she only passed 60m three times, with her best throw being 61.42. In 2020, she competed in 5 competitions and passed 60m every time, with her best throw being 63.96 and 4 of those 5 were better than her 2021 SB of 61.42.

and it is a very nice and honorable 6th place, just 0.03 behind the podium and equalling her yesterdays NR 11.54

 

She will compete in Nairobi also in the 200m and also in the 100 Hurdles

and she made it to the final also in the 100m Hurdles.

 

Again first ever slovak appearance in the discipline final just like in the womens 100 dash. Viki is really experiencing some unexpected advantures here in the last 3 days. Sure many big guns are not here, but it is still super awesome to have a interesting prospect (by our standards) in womens athletics, especially in the sprints, we never had anyone more or like decent in the past

Why would they aim to cheat here?

 

It's not like junior worlds are the end-all-be-all event of athletics. Any remotely ambitious athlete aims far higher than that.

Exceptional win for  Ramos Rodriguez in women’s 10,000 Race Walking, lapping almost every other athlete in the field, the exception being the other two medalists (but just by about 100 meters).

Sadly age cheating has happened many times in junior sports for reasons that don’t really make sense.
