Makes sense. That rules out Germany. We can still draw Spain though. 
 

I’d disagree with your second point, considering we won gold in Tokyo tying against Great Britain and Japan (teams of our caliber, if not worse)

Right okay, FIFA have published the latest edition of the Women’s World Rankings, which means the pots are now set. 
 

Pot 1: :FRA (E1) :ESP:USA

Pot 2: :GER:JPN:CAN

Pot 3: :BRA:AUS:COL

Pot 4: :NZL:IOC:IOC

 

Olympic flags signify the non-qualified African teams. Nigeria/South Africa and Morocco/Zambia will battle for the remaining two Paris tickets.
