You just wrote Germany can't be paired with Spain or France (which means they will face the United States).

 

 

 

It's a shame we are drawn into Pot 3, but if we can't defeat Brazil or Japan then we are probably not winning a medal

Makes sense. That rules out Germany. We can still draw Spain though. 
 

I’d disagree with your second point, considering we won gold in Tokyo tying against Great Britain and Japan (teams of our caliber, if not worse)
