So, after a 12 hours travel via Vienna-Madrid and Madrid-Buenos Aires altogether with the teams of Belgium and Finland. Team Slovakia successfully landed in Argentina yesterday. Basically everything was fine, nice sunny weather welcomed them in the airport, the accreditation process was quick and efficient, they also met the designated voluntaries, took the luggage and went to the Olympic village. They experienced just 2 problems, the team leader had to unexpectedly solve problems with the Argentine SIM cards that for some reasons does not work on phones bought on European market and since there was the local football derby River Plate - Independiente schedulled, the surrounding of the stadium was closed which resulted in some troubles with the traffic, but thankfully the willingness and enthusiasm of the organizational team has solved quite quickly both problems, so our team members and leaders are very satisfied and excited about the host work until now. It was also announced that In the Olympic village we´ll share the building with - surprise, surprise - the Czech team as you can see in this video after the arrival, everyone is trying to understand why his phone is not working

and it´s over for the 2018 season. A strange world championship in the Rio Olympics venue we saw this week. Disastrous tournament for many strong nations, Not a single gold for Czech Republic is just INCREDIBLE !!! Zero "Olympic events" medals for Slovakia and France are embarassing, but also some hard luck for both nations must be mentioned, Slovakia with 4th, 5th and 6th places in M C1, France with a very close 4th place of Boris Neveu in M K1. also very bad champs for Slovenia with only 1 team silver. All in all the traditional strong nations have really what to do in the winter, Tokyo is slowly coming and next season will be very important for all teams. In the opposite after disastrous Rio games, Germany experienced a great championship with 2 "Olympic events" golds in Men´s categories also Australia thanks it´s prodige Jessica Fox won both Womens "Olympic events". Let see in the next 2 seasons if they are able to keep this high bar + Thanks to the Canoeing-Cross it´s nice to see some new medaling nations like and Final Medal table
