  1. In the United States Muslims swing left, Jews swing either way, most Christians swing hard right, Catholics tend to swing more right than left, Hindus tend to swing right more often than left, Buddhists swing left, and a good majority of Lutherans swing left. In my opinion all five major religions, save Buddhism, have all become increasingly conservative (that’s one of the main reasons I left, socialists/anarchists don’t get along well with the Catholic Church). In America most of the far right is made up of Christians, though I will conclude that minority religions contribute quite a bit to the far left. I don’t think you can religious and truly free. I think the world would be better off without religion, though I wouldn’t take people’s rights to worship away. I will argue against it heavily, but people have the right to believe in a higher power.
  2. Damn! They’re just giving away quotas now. Do you know if any other nations received reallocations. There were a couple more eligible smaller nations.
  3. I’m not above that, you have to use the platform when you have it. In America, we mourn for 2 days, then move on, and then mourn the next shooting.
  4. An overview: https://www.mic.com/articles/107372/49-tremendous-things-florida-men-accomplished-this-year https://www.npr.org/2019/03/03/699832548/alligators-drugs-and-theft-oh-my-new-list-shows-top-10-florida-man-stories
  5. Nope, international ticket requests opened up today too
  6. Because Florida is the only state where all arrest records are public. It’s a phenomenon we journalists call “Florida Man”. Some interesting stuff comes out of Florida arrests let me tell you. This is honestly a tame one.
  7. I’ve been in Catholic education for years, my news stories have continually been censored because they contain material that’s “to mature” “to vulgar” or “go against the church”. I was banned from saying words in middle school after I spoke out about the injustice of the Catholic Church always using child blaming to cover their tracks. I was actually Catholic until 3 years ago. However, the church started sounding more and more hardline on issues and I couldn’t stand it. They cover child abuse. They collect money and use it to fund these magnificent churches, and then have the nerve to preach about how they help the poor (the Lutherans are the only people who actually do anything meaning for the poor in my town). They talk about how abortion is a sin, yet they won’t help the child once it’s born. They won’t let woman have a role in the church, simply because they’re woman. The church is for everyone, but the Pope gets to dictate what I’m allowed to believe or even say. Religion in in general is bad though. It’s the same in every religion. Most are against woman. Most aim to keep class division. They all make you live a certain way. They only “good” and tolerate religions I’ve found so far are Lutheranism and Baha'i.
  8. I’d say that’s a fair definition
  9. It really depends on what people view as freedom. I mean, I’d say the US is free, but I wouldn’t go as far as saying that we couldn’t do better.
  10. You mean the FRA-USA one is accurate
  11. Normal American Day: One school shooting has left a kid dead and multiple kids injured, video released of an police officer mistreating and then taking action that leads to a black woman’s death, an independent militia (which is an actual right granted in our constitution) says we should solve our immigration problem by gassing (as in gas chambers) immigrants, and on top of all of that our federal governments about to go to shit over a report that (even from my highly left view) proves nothing we didn’t know, besides that fact Trump’s an idiot and did try to skirt laws. So the Earth is literally dying, our students are, quite frankly dying, our constitution is dying, and asylum seekers are literally dying. I live in such a wonderful era of history (though as a student of history, I know that there isn’t many goods eras either). This Is America.
  12. It’s a protest song FYI. There’s a lot meaning in that song and video (it’s satire), you can find explanations on YouTube.
  13. Just came here to post about this. WTF...
  14. It really is quite unfair. I’m sorry we’re so good, I like a little medal diversity too...

  19. Doesn’t help me feel great about flying over the Pacific next year . I really is just a sad incident. I felt like the response time was a little slow, but at least the pilots, ground crew, authorities, and first responders were able to save some passengers.
  20. FIG looks to increase team sizes back to 5 for Paris 2024: https://apple.news/AjwlpoppNRMSrIKdiBchKdg
