  1. Some very rich people live there (though the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain are much richer in my opinion)
  2. Well the article says “the rich world”, and well...
  3. Right? I’m mean they’ve alluded to this happen for how long now. I thought she’d go crazy, I really just thought she wouldn’t burn a bunch of random people.
  4. Or he was counting Indonesian islands and got a little confused . (P.S. I know there’s more than 500, but jokes are jokes)
  5. I hope to catch a glimpse of the race this year. I’ll post photos if I’m able to make it happen.
  6. My boy Peter Sagan took a nice win today in Sacramento. Tomorrow we have a hilly stage with the finish at the ever beautiful area of Lake Tahoe.
  7. The is the first cycling race I ever saw. I got me hooked on the sport, so I figured I might as well make a place to post about it.
  8. No I am not a communist. Communism doesn’t work. I am a democratic socialist for that reason. I can aide people, while still ensuring their freedom (even if they disagree with my politics). A good leader, is someone who understands that there are better goals than power in life. If I could just improve one persons life, than mine would be worth it. That’s why I’m so passionate about human rights, the lower classes, and equality.
  9. Aaaaahhhhhhhh! I want her to die painfully and slowly. They hinted at that for years, and now it’s come true. If Tyrion or Arya (and Jon, at least he’s not mad) don’t take the throne, the show was a fucking waste of time.
  10. Except his not really a socialist. He’s what’s considered a democratic socialist (which I consider myself). He’s essentially someone who believes in the democratic system of government, but wants to use socialist policies to improve it. I myself am a little more extreme. I’m a crossover of anarchist, socialist, and liberal (so far left, but without extreme social ideas). I would imagine I’d like Green, Pirate, and Social Christian parties (though we have the very stupid two party system here in the US, which I think is why our government is failing currently).
  11. Well at least in poomsae their are awesome freestyle competitions. In my opinion Taolu and Kata are great for self-discipline and training, but not for international sport.
  12. Don’t get me wrong, I respect what the athletes do and understand how hard it is. It really just lacks a wow factor that most sports (even poomsae) have. The Duilian is super cool, I’d already seen that before. It was trending here in the US a few years ago.
  13. Rewatching the 2018 Asian Games: I don’t know how anyone could watch Wushu (not Sanda) without contemplating taking the sword and stabbing themselves. God this boring!!! (I’m trying to watch ever medal event though, so only 1 1/2 hours too go)
  14. Little update of my own: I finished my track season for the year, nothing spectacular. I really struggled to find motivation in the last few weeks, but did set my new PR in the Long Jump. Long Jump PR: 5.41m
  15. No. The only difference between California high school meets and the IAAF is 1) Meets are not allowed to include Javelin for safety reasons 2) No Hammer is thrown 3) the mile, instead of the 1500m is run (a mile is 1600m) 4) we run the 300m Hurdles, instead of the 400m Hurdles. Most of that is because of USATF Youth Track regulations. Everything is run properly at the university level.
  16. This is actually a very established event in the US. Most high school and college invitationals include it.
  17. Geoblocked In US (I won’t use a VPN to view it, that would be bad (that was definitely not sarcasm))
  18. I do agree that there most likely was a better time to bring up the gun issue, but I still think that the students who brought it up did what they had to.
  19. We make it a political point so that the next kid doesn’t have to die.
