  1. If they last until then. They are on very thin ice right now. If think the European Championships are on their way to becoming Europe’s major multi-sport event.
  2. Canoe Slalom quotas: Countries are still eligible to enter events they haven’t qualified in, as long as they already have a quota for the athlete. Accepted Double starters:
  3. Quick update about this week’s schedule. 1. The playlists on the front page are continually being updated this week. More playlists are being added as well. 2. Episode 2 of TWU will be available between 17:00-19:00 PCT (Pacific Coast Time) (Hopefully). The format will be similar to last week’s. I will explore user suggestions and new segments the following week most likely. 3. My personal broadcasting channel (Global Olympian Broadcasting) will be uploading 2019 Winter EYOF footage all week, and next week. There may more information to follow, but that’s all for now.
  4. I’m just glad to see larger fields in the individual races at least. I find Canoe Sprint and Slalom to be two of the more entertaining Olympic sports.
  5. Well at least there will be a few more boats per race than in Toronto 2015 it seems.
  6. My dad grew up in Coos Bay, Oregon so obviously he’s a huge track person (as am I), but I’m not sure if I will. I like to watch with him, so I may wait till later this week when we both have time. I do know that standard is quite high this year. The best American runners at this meet generally are the one’s who make our Pan American, World Championship, and Olympic teams in this cycle and the next cycle.
  7. bestmen’s been hitting the “poppies” lately...
  8. Now, I want to see World Cup played on dirt patches, like the other ones ones young kids in Africa and Asia play on. That’s a game of ball control skill right there.
  9. We use artificial turf here because of a) a lack of water and b) it’s cheeper and really performance isn’t changed drastically.
  10. I just recently read Liam O’Flatery’s (speller his name wrong, sorry) “The Sniper”. I think Trump should too before he makes statements like that.
  11. Yeah, I tried reading it. I opened it up took one look, and said oh hell no, and closed the tab.
  12. Right, but I think the ECU confirmed the split last year. I think the individual events will be here, and the other events in Poznan.
  13. Apparently. What I meant is that I love movies with a good story, that show a country or area as it is.
  14. In archery the gold medalists in the Mixed Team Recurve qualify, I believe the Canoe Sprint part is true, and believe Karate is the same as the Pan Am Games (highest ranked gold medalist qualifies).
  15. That’s almost as bad. I would imagine the suicide rate among LGBTQ are high, I could wrong and studies are probably non-existant. That’s what happened here in the US. The Mormon Church outlawed the LGBTQ community, and suicide rates among mormon teens were the highest in the nation. Though, that said US suicide rates are extremely high for other reasons too.
  16. Taimamen Square Protests, Sudan Uprising, the discovery of concentration camps, Watergate, etc. Journalists do important work. The problem is that they aren’t paid as much as they deserve, or given the credit they deserve, so they resolve to selling themselves out because at least their valued by someone that way. What’s happening to journalism right now is sad, but I think it will counterbalance soon, or I hate to think a world without people looking for the truth.
  17. I think there is a difference between communism and socialism, at least what I adhere to, that people commonly misunderstand. Now my political beliefs are complicated, I believe in peace, but vouch for war to gain it. My political leaning is anarchist, but I lean socialist. I’m pro-life, but I vote pro-choice. The one thing I can figure out about that is that I want to people to be able to live free, happy, and fearless. That’s obviously impossible, but weight the implications of every policy I choose to support based off a of that. As journalist I do express my opinion, but I attempt to give a warning and most of the time express the main parts of my opinion or sarcasm in brackets as you may have noticed from my posts on the form.
  18. The podcast is also available on Apple Podcasts now, for those interested.
  19. Right, but I would imagine that’s not all caused by immigration. It may be worsened to a degree by it, but caused? I don’t know immigration is a complex issue that not probably never going solve, especially since we can’t even solve a thing like climate change.
  20. I’m telling you, the western generation growing up right now is progressive, and in many cases showing socialistic attitudes. It was almost the exact same graphics in the US Midterm elections.
  21. I’d still say the same about Europe. Do immigrate bring issues? Yes, but a lot of these issues existed before, but there’s someone really easy to blame it on. If the problems are drugs, gangs, and such. Those can be harder problems to deal with, but they can be solved by good policing, and healthy childhood, and an education. It is not impossible to co-exist with someone of a different culture, hell, we do it every time we log onto these website. Do we have cultural differences? Yes, but we have been able to work around those, and at points come to a common understanding.
  22. A culture clash maybe, but the United States has many problems. They are not all the immigrants fault, though immigration makes an easy scapegoat. Every single person in my country is an immigrant (save maybe 20,000 native inhabitants). In fact the biggest immigration problem in my country ever was European colonization, and White American Manifest Destiny. Are there bad immigrants, yes; but we shouldn’t let the bad overlook the good (in this case at least).
  23. Well I don’t see them as “parasites”. Most of immigrants I’ve meet have been very nice, friendly people, who contributed well to my state.
  24. I mean he already so many other -isms that I feel liked I wouldn’t be shocked if he was (and probably is)
