  1. Three days (and I was supposed to be contacted between now and Friday if I made the interview stage)
  2. 50 Days To Go!!! And the Olympia Bobrun is being built
  3. Yeah those laser guns are fun. I got to try one at the LA World Cup a few years back.
  4. The process was I submitted my resume, and haven’t heard anything back (as expected) yet.
  5. First rain in like 8 months for my town. We generally get out rain from late October to early April. Our wettest months are usually December and February. I hope to finally get some snow this year (hasn’t snowed since 2012)
  6. And...there’s a good chance that open carry may soon be legal in each ? https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2019/01/supreme-court-new-york-gun-case-heller.html
  7. I don’t believe that is eligible for universality right? Sudan would’ve been, too bad for her.
  8. And shoot a bullseye with a rifle from like 100m away or whatever. Every Kim has hit the target in their first try, and all on the bullseye ?
  9. My guess, players are largely based outside the country, or based in the few big cities the government still controls.
  10. @OlympicIRL I think I’d still qualify “His Dark Materials” as fun concept, but no meet still. I like where the series is heading, but the plot needs to thicken a bit from here on out.
  11. That website qualifies as “something is better than nothing”
  12. May have something to do with the Taliban controlling about 60-75% of the country currently. Not worth the risk. I think the Afghan government will fall within the next 2 years. Tokyo 2020 could very well be the last time we see Afghan women for awhile. Of course this is all assuming the Taliban advances as quickly as they have been, and that the ANA continues to weaken and retreat.
  13. I haven’t seen a single article besides this, that indicates these games will actually take place. No official website, no webcast info, no team announcements, nothing.
  14. I might sit this one out. I’m pretty careful about where I put my data and such, and I just don’t feel comfortable with this website. It’s not that it’s bad, but that it seems like it’s more for Polish users. I don’t want to cause problems.
  15. Aquatics (Swimming and Diving), Athletics, Badminton, Basketball (3x3 and 5x5), Boxing, Football, Artistic Gymnastics, Sepaktakraw, Taekwondo, Volleyball, and E-Sports. It’s also been confirmed that Billiards, Karate, and Wushu will be some of the other sports livestreamed. More sports will be added to that list apparently.
  16. There will be 3 YouTube livestreams dedicated towards streaming the games daily (You’ll need a Philippines vpn to access all three). There will be one channel available for international viewers, with coverage limited to about 10 sports. ESPN5 and Rappler have confirmed this.
  17. I don’t know a single Jewish person that’s ever voted Republican. Every person of Jewish decent or faith I’ve known has been pretty damn liberal (the same goes for all younger American Muslims). I believe the statistics on the American Jewish vote (which is a good sized minority) is about 80-90% Democrat and 10-20% Republican. Obviously that can change from election to election, but most of the Jewish people I’ve known are generally actually well left in the political spectrum. There are different sects in the Jewish faith, and most American Jews belong to the more liberal ones. Also, assuming Jews automatically have money and power is some pretty old type viewpoints. Anti-Semiticism is still rather popular amongst the US right. Nazism was much more popular than it should have been in the 1930s and that’s one of the reasons why. During the “Red Scare”, Republicans like McCarthy (asshole) targeted prominent Jews in the US. They reused a lot of Nazi taking points wether they realized it or not. I think that caused the Jewish minority to shift well left in the US. Plus, unlike most Christians (at least in the US), Jews aren’t as hypocritical in their views. Most of them are vehemently against Trump, and quite a few view him as an anti-Semite.
  18. Except that most American Jews haven’t moved to Israel for a reason. Many of them seriously despise the decisions of the Israeli government. The Democratic Party can call them out, as long as we don’t threaten to harm Israel. A majority (55-60%) of the Democratic Party is Pro-Palestinian
  19. Ah, that sucks. I always enjoyed him ride
  20. I’ll give it a crack too. I’ll sign up later today.
  21. I used to give my friends and classmates “autographs” when I was younger too . The “autographs” were generally papers I didn’t want back, or were too lazy to put in my folder. So instead of throwing them away, I’d give it someone and say “hold on to this in case I become famous (and then sell it on EBay )”. Generally that person would take it, and throw it right in the trash can . Even my old unofficial girlfriend
  22. @Jan Linha was the user most interested in collecting I believe
  23. Except that Speed Skating is expecting a hard quota cut from the ISU
