    No, I understand that aspect. However, that’s why I think the event has an interesting dynamic. It definitely shouldn’t replace any of the gendered events, but if multi-sport games organizers want to included those boats as additional events (with no extra quotas needed), then I don’t really have a problem with it.

    Bennett/Almeida fell to in the 9-16 bracket in women’s beach volleyball. Their early success got my hopes up for a bit, but they’re heading for a 12-16th place finish now. Still, they’re fighting looked to have a pretty serious injury on the final point, so not sure that pair will continue past this match.
