Apparently the 2022/23 World Cup calendar will only be approved at the FIS Congress in May. The delay is over major changes to the calendar. With Maribor out it also appears that Ga-Pa will no longer hold the men's DH either. The Zermatt DH will happen one week after Soelden on the last weekend of October (men) and first weekend of November (women).
 
FIS is about to admit failure on the unfair parallel courses crap (yay!) and have only two scheduled in the next season (one in Lech). Instead the previously estranged combined is set for a major comeback however in new format. There will be DH + Super G "speed combined" and GS + SL "technical combined" proposed next season.

But Strolz had a breathtaking display.

This event will be so different in 2026 when Russia is hopefully totally banned from those games.

Just came here to ask if we already know which event will be added on Italy's request, but apparently this already has been answered ...
So Russia got figure skating team, China got aerials team and Italy got a whole new sport? Hopefully this nonsense will disappear again. For me 90 % of the charm of becoming olympic champion is about being able to read your name in the history books next to the names of other great champions of the past.

NBC ratings are down every single year for all of their programming for 8 years now. It's the evolution of US viewing habits. It's not like 12 years ago, when you had to wait for 8 pm coverage to see anything. People are watching what they'd want on twitter for Gods sake. Who's wanting to bother with 3 hours of primetime coverage, 1 hour of which is ads, 1 hour has fluff pieces and the last hour has cherry picked events. Their main target is getting people subscribed to Peacock and stay subscribed for their other stuff.

Norway will simply say it was stolen by the Russians. Norwegian Tv is very hostile to Russia being at the games

They should just get rid of it completely. 3 individual medal chances is enough. Sadly many sports got completely inflated. Speed skating also should only have 3 individual events (500 m, 1500 m, 3000/5000 m).
 
In general you should always ask yourself if there is a need for multiple events where you can win a medal with exactly the same skill set.

If you ask me, I would not award medals for pursuit. Totally unfair, based on another event
