  1. If this was true for me, I'd watch a whole lot less cross-country skiing, Nordic combined, skeleton and bobsleigh (to name just a few)
  2. I don't know what you're using, but here it still looks as good as the same as it has for years, with a few tiny, tiny changes.
  3. If anyone can be the first ever with six consecutive wins....
  4. Because it's cool if something like the Four Hills has it's own unique thing and it gets a whole lot less special when more and more events use it, especially all those rip-offs like RAW Air.
  5. Fifth consecutive Four Hills competition win for Kobayashi
  6. So far the program for Eurosport here shows a nightly half hour show with coverage. Of course Dakar is not really something one can easily show live, especially in the midst of all kinds of other sports, so that'd be fine. Is Dakar still really that big? At least here it's not even close anymore to it's heydays when, you know, the Dakar went for example to Dakar.
  7. Well he really can't keep playing the way he did in the first one or two sets against Labanauskas. Aspinall, Wright and Price all have a way better shot at taking him down if he does than Labanauskas did and he gave him a good run every now and then. For Wright the main question is whether or not he can keep his focus and energy up long enough now that the format is getting longer and longer, because the way he has played in several sets so far this tournament is absolutely unrivalled by anyone.
  8. How delightfully boring and American these choices are.
  9. Mathieu van der Poel closing a rather significant gap in the final kilometers of this year's Amstel Gold Race and taking the win in the very last meters after an incredibly long sprint Different kind of comeback, but still.
  10. Still very early days, but Labanauskas is giving a rather mediocre Van Gerwen quite a run for his money so far
  11. North Korea is afraid to lose in South Korea?
  12. Did not expect you to explicitly say non-English Americans are no real Americans
  13. There's a difference between wanting something to be better and just entirely ignoring it. It's part of the World Cup, I want to know how the World Cup unfolds, and just checking results is even less fun.
  14. Well since it's the cross-country skiing World Cup, I'll watch it no matter which format they use
  15. Yeah even for FIS there seems to be absolutely no reason whatsoever to remove the pursuit and put a mass start in there. I mean, what on earth does it gain? It only makes for less excitement in terms of fighting for positions.
  16. These kids really need some more lessons.
  17. The Tour de Ski should be as good of a mix of everything as possible and indeed a pursuit style final climb, as it's been since 'forever'....until now. I just really, really don't understand FIS' thought process in that change: how on earth is it better for any TV viewer to go from 'the positions you see on TV are the real positions' to 'you see things on TV, but without calculating you don't know the results'? Also: mixed feelings about that last statement, it'd be absolutely awesome, but it'd make for a significantly more boring New Year's Eve here at home
  18. And that Canadian guy seems like an incredibly poor loser indeed. Grow up.
  19. Wow, dumb move from Schutz
  20. Yeah, like I said: people stay relatively quiet until the outcome isn't what they thought, after which they want to change the whole thing. No way José, you're too late.
  21. Yes, before the draw in which the host was chosen.
  22. You're mightily late with that. Everyone who was accepted in the draw has been accepted (by the main people when it comes to TISC organizing, like @OlympicIRL) as potential hosts. Changing that now that the outcome isn't as hoped, that's just a disgustingly shitty move. A: "These are the election rules." B: "Ok." A: "Trump is the winner." B: "But the system!! Unfair!!"
  23. Also, I was afraid we wouldn't have a massive riot before the end of the year. Yay, luckily the Christmas spirit died a swift death
