  1. Standings after the third rotation... It's incredibly close at the top. 154.130% 153.587% 153.385% 151.211% 150.620% 145.606% 144.659% 143.276% 141.863% 140.575% New Zealand and Japan have already completed their challenge. 208.664% 201.755% So, Australia needs 66.801% to qualify for Group G. It's an outside shot, but there is a chance Australia sneaks into Top 6, which would be a great gift for NZ...
  2. Lyndal Oatley posts 72.189% with a very steady round. This is now Australia's to lose. Only a major error can stop them.
  3. Wagner Ehlinger posts 73.3% to enter Top 10. Curiously, the first ever Luxembourgian judge at this stage Christof Umbach awarded him by far the lowest individual score. Talk about throwing your countryman under the bus just to keep your career going! Luxembourg now has two riders in Top 20! They have a very good chance to qualify a team for Paris (but next year). Would probably be the first Luxembourgian team at the Olympic in decades, across all sports.
  4. Florian Bacher puts Austria back into contention with 73.4%. There is a chance they grab a quota in case the US continues to falter.
  5. Galloway 70.978% Australia will have to earn it this time.
  6. Vanagaite 69.596% A mistake in one tempis prevented 70+ score and qualification for the next round. Pitty.
  7. Matsenjwa had no chance in lane 2...
  8. Medal is pretty unlikely, but Top 6 should be quite safe. Gal is taking a sabbatical this year... No idea when he is planning to come back. Minderhoud's horse was not fit to compete here.
  9. Medal for us? That is insane. Govorčinović makes history for Croatia. It was disappointing when we made zero semifinals in Tokyo. This is huge in comparison.
  10. Team standings after Day 1: 78.835% 77.003% 76.863% 76.164% 75.978% 72.842% 71.522% 70.839% 69.938% 69.829% ... 69.674% 68.059% 66.444%
  11. Nightmare ride for Holzer whose Valentine stops in the first piaffe, refuses in the second. Danish audience clapping at the end was a bit much in this case. At any rate, the USA is on the back-foot now. Duerrhammer's 70.8% will have to count. This puts them 2% behind Spain in 6th place. Would be absolutely awful for Pan America if they failed to qualify here.
  12. Dinja van Liere takes the lead. It was good, but I was not that impressed. Don't let the Dutch selectors fool you. This ride was their expected strongest. Sadly, Carina & Danciera are not quite on their Tokyo/Leipzig form. Still enough to go just above Rasmussen.
  13. Hughues got pissed here at the Danish audience clapping. Shouldn't matter really. If your horse spooks at people clapping, then it's a hole in your training. End of story. I'm sure the British team will file a complaint however...
  14. Standings after Session 4 (Top 10)... Rasmussen 76.724% Klimke 75.683% Sanchez del Barco 72.842% Zweistra 72.376% Moreira 71.522% Duerrhammer 70.839% Ferreira 70.000% Basquin 69.938% Schumach 69.829% Skarsoe 69.829% One more session to go today...
  15. Trouble for Australia as Mary Hanna has withdrawn from competition. Now every score will have to count for them, just as it does for their rivals from Japan and New Zealand.
  16. What a test for Ferreira! Exactly 70% and a big PB. Goes into 5th place. Unreal.
  17. Harada 66.444% Thompson 68.214% There were few glitches here and there for Thompson, which pushed the score down. Should have been ahead of Brown tbh. Advantage Australia.
  18. Standings after the first rotation: Rasmussen 76.724% Klimke 75.683% Zweistra 72.376% Duerrhammer 70.839% Basquin 69.938% Skarsoe 69.829% Brown 69.674% Exceptional test from Rasmussen & Zack, but also from Klimke & Franz who rose to the occasion to also post a personal best. Would not be surprised if Rasmussen stays in the lead for the entire first day. It was that good.
  19. King Zack! Still looking amazing at age 18. We have already seen two offsprings of his in this competition. Dream start for Denmark.
  20. Skarsoe wss trending over 71% for a long time, but alas, cheap mistakes happened. Still goes into 3rd place so far, but will not be advancing for the next round sadly due to the mistakes in zig-zag and one tempi changes.
  21. Brown 69.674% Very good start for Australia. Better than expected in their quest for the Olympic qualification. Zweistra goes above and beyond the expectations and becomes the first rider to break 70%. Ich Weiss has come of age today in Herning, that was classy.
  22. Direction has improved slightly, but still it's pretty bad. Highlight reels after each ride look like some cringy TikTok videos with frames going on for a second at the time. Nobody broke 70% in the first session. Basquin sits first at 69.938%. Will not be much of a factor going forward though. Standings
  23. History made for India as Agarwalla becomes their first ever competitor at this stage. Reasonable test. Much improved since I saw them in Munich. He is very excited.
  24. Big mistakes for Godinho, including some well-deserved 2s for bucking in the zig-zag. Unfortunately, the main camera appears to be out of commission at the moment... Results in pretty poor Tv direction thus far.
