We've had success thus far this Fencing season.  Our weaknesses are M Épée and W Sabre.  But we've medaled in just about every other event (team and individual).

Coming back to edit this, since the sport was miniscule in the USA at that time, it’s probably how the FIG referred to it as well.
 
 

Team USA has been remarkably consistent.  They won 10 gold medals in Salt Lake and they've won exactly 9 at each of the past 5 Olympics.  I recall from Torino in 2006 that the perception was that the American team did poorly because a lot of the big name stars (think Bode Miller) under-performed.  Hopefully that's not the case this time around

US has won exactly 9 golds at 5 successive Winter Games (06-22) so I expect 9 golds this Games as well.

I genuinely like every winter Olympic sports, but, one easy answer: short track speed skating.
 
The short track relays are already my favourite Winter Olympic events, but on top of that I’m going to be seeing two short track sessions (including my very first Olympic final, the women’s 3000m relay), and there is a very real chance that Courtney Sarault will become the second ever athlete from my home province of  to win an Olympic gold (and she has a chance to win the first ever individual gold), and if Canada wins the women’s relay (and she skates) Rikki Doak would be the first ever athlete from my hometown of Fredericton to win an Olympic gold medal (Marianne Limpert should have won a gold in 1996 but sadly a cheater "won" instead).

I'm hoping they can like each other enough to at least ski the Team Combined together because as a pair they would be the gold medal favorites.  Wiles and Moltzan can be the second USA team.

Two passings to mention.
 
Uljana Semjonova  age 73.  Twice a gold medalist in basketball for   in 1976 and 1980.  Her height was listed between 2.10 to 2.13 m.  She is the tallest woman ever to win an Olympic gold medal.
 
Jim Hartung   age 65.  He was a member of the US gymnastics team that won the gold medal in 1984.

Vonn-Shiffrin paired in the team combined would seem like a no-brainer.

Are we sure Trump knows the difference between India and Indonesia? That could be quite funny indeed.

Scott is currently U.S. Senator, was Governor until 2019.
