  1. Pleased for Jessica Gadirova make the floor final. However with how unpredictable gymnastics is at times recently I will be very pleased with any medal male or female - I feel like th golden era for GB gymnastics is coming to an end and with the chaos behind the scenes it will be hard for any future medal contenders to appear.
  2. Horrible defeat for Sinden.cLet’s hope tomorrow we win a gold or two. I still think the target of 45 medals is not going to be anyway near being achieved and it’s more about trying to beat the 28 and 30 of Sydney and Athens (and trying maybe to beat the 11 and 9 golds of those games. Uk Sport should be honest with the public if they want any hope of not finding a sudden funding cut being announced this autumn.
  3. A great 80.9 for Charlotte Dujardin. While It’s surely likely to be double Gold for Germany she is a contender for a medal while the British Team also look to be in medal contention.
  4. GB not looking as strong in the swimming as the Europeans teased they would be. Not sure they will get that close to the 6 medals of last time. Again another sport that will find keeping funding hard with pressure to spend more of the money on public swimming rather than elite.
  5. Does look like Luke Greenbank is the form that makes him a likely medal challenger in the 200m. Relays will have to do a lot of the work or Team Gb will go notably backwards in terms of swimming medals.
  6. The heats today are wild. I can’t quite see Scott winning a medal in what is GB’s second best hope of an individual medal and the only faintly possible chance of an individual gold by any but Peaty.
  7. A very good heats. Two records. Kathleen Dawson looks to be be in form needed for a medal chance in the mixed relay as she was fourth after the record breakers. I sense an upset Through and think at least one of the record breakers will miss out on a medal.
  8. Well done Bradley Sinden. No matter how the final goes GB is on the medal table.
  9. Other than Peaty so so morning in the pool for GB. Did hope for an early surprise medal. Still plenty of chances to go but I would be disappointed if GB ended up not getting the six they got in 2016 after so much progress. It would be a shame to go backwards even if the loss of Carlin and O’Conner has hurt team gb chances.
  10. Why have the front loaded the gymnastics with the three big teams going in the first three sessions leading to the last two rotations feeling less dramatic.
  11. True but with some favourites slipping up a few surprise medals are needed.
  12. That is a surprise. Through maybe they planning the hockey for later. It will be interesting to see how the BBC handles the whole games from a GB perspective - a story of decline is harder than a story of lots of medals and outstanding performances.
  13. Doesn’t seem to be any commentary available on Discovery + - I have put the ambient sound on as the English option is totally soundless.
  14. I can’t see Jade Jones winning gold tomorrow. I just don’t have a good feeling about it.
  15. Does anyone know if any apps or Twitter accounts are solely devoted to posting medal results so I can set up a push notification. I normally use the BBC but they not offering push notifications for Medal’s this games.
  16. On the Gracenote predictions one predicted bronze medal was lost - Peter McGrail in the boxing. The Men’s eight also look long way from a medal and they are predicted to win silver. Adam Peaty, Max Whitlock, Karriss Artingstall and the Men’s four remain on track to be in the hunt. The dressage team were not predicted any medals but seem to be in with a chance of a team medal along with Aimee Wilmott and the Women’ 4 x 100 relay in swimming. Tommrow we will see if Jade Jones can win again and if Bradley Sinden can also win a medal. Ben Whittaker and Duncan Scott also get their events underway where Gracenote have predicted medals plus they other interesting chances to me like Luke Greenbank and Kathleen Dawson who have final potential as well as being important for relay events to challenge for medals.
  17. Decent day for GB. Whitlock and Fraser and Hall finals but not sure any of the, will get an medal out it. Qualifying 5th for the all round was a great result through for Frazier. The team event feels like it be a fight between the top 3 while GB and USA fight out for fourth and fifth. Can’t say it’s that likely any GB women will make an apparatus final tomorrow but I hope at least one will - surely at least one will make the all around final and the team will probably qualify.
  18. And it’s pretty shocking that happened to the Men’s eight who were actually quite good in 2018/2019 compared to many others. Their were at a similar level to the men’s four but the four look so much better compared to them and are still a realistic medal prospect.
  19. I can see Kamminga staging the big upset in the final and beating Adam in the final.
  20. Makes it to the final in 7th. Can she recover from that to get a medal. It’s an open event. Great swim from Aimee Wilmott. Hopefully a medal chance.
  21. It’s odd when you see GB did pretty well at the Europeans in some of the events that now several European Boats have beat them in. Was it a case of peaking too early in the season rather than mental softness
  22. Just about. The final heat was mayhem. Be interesting to see if Willmot can get through in the Women’s event - both got bronze in Budapest at Europeans.
  23. Surely the biggest shock of the games so far. Home favourites not doing well with him and Uchimura in the Gymanstics.
