  1. Men - Mountain Biking Not only is Tom Pidcock Olympic champion and world champion but he's also a far better rider than he was in 2021. Logically he should be favourite to retain the title but there will be strong challenges from van der Poel, Van Aert and Schurter depending on which Olympic events they'll ride.
  2. Quote - "I'll juice up to the gills to win $1.5 million prize"
  3. Oh Canada...
  4. Latest Score 7 0 (end of 2nd period) Earlier 4 0 (final)
  5. Men - Road Time Trial Josh Tarling is, despite still being a teenager at the moment, one of the elite TT riders in the world. European champion, world medalist. winner of the Chrono de Nations and still has massive potential for improvement in 2024 and beyond. Remco Evenepoel will ride the TdF this year although Ganna won't. If he gets to Paris fit and healthy a medal is there for the taking for Josh and it's not impossible that it could just be gold Road Race Described as a "punchy" course, it's thought not to be as tough as the one in Tokyo but the event is notoriously hard to predict. Don't count on a GB medal but frankly you could say about any country, even Slovenia and Denmark. A GB medal would definitely be a major surprise but not impossible
  6. So, taking after RussB's efforts in swimming I thought I'd have a go at looking through Team GB's chances in cycling over the next few days
  7. Am I right to say they would have won silver in the Olympics if things had been in the same format?
  8. Possible that GBR could match last year's medal total before the pool swimming gets started.
  9. Useless Trivia Alert GB won silver in the mixed relay event at the world cyclo cross championship today. One of the team members was Corran Carrick-Anderson who is the cousin of Zak Carrick-Smith who won Youth Olympic skiing gold last week
  10. The live timing briefly showed them as 19 seconds after 125m which is what a good team would take to cover 250m. It's all very strange
  11. Not sure but were in last place by a long way at the 125m (half lap) timing. Maybe it's a problem at the start?
  12. Interestingly had a very poor 1st lap but laps 2 and 3 were spectacular compared to the other teams
  13. The live timing had Germany six seconds down after 125m and then nothing at 250m at all
  14. Women's team sprint fastest by a second over Not sure what happened but are out according to the live results
  15. Are "B" eligible for points scoring?

  17. Gracenote has always underestimated GBR medals since 2012
  18. What are Ben Llewellin's chances of qualifying for Paris?
  19. Russia have just announced they are appealing against Valieva's disqualification
  20. Skate Croatia have just posted a copy of the ISU anti-doping rules on twitter that state if an individual is disqualified from a team event for doping the team is automatically disqualified.
