  1. According to the latest update Ireland now has a recovery rate of 57.6%. That's up from 0.07% in the previous update Moral of the story, reporting sucks

  3. Probably representing nations would be a bit more fun to watch.
  4. It sounds like an interesting project. I have no idea how it works but if you manage to make either option a possibility then I am onboard. I like the idea of the second option
  5. If only they would breath solid tin and then they could make themselves some lovely hats...
  6. Oh it doesn’t even surprise me anymore as people are constantly coming out with outrageous statements. And the anti-vaxxers too are another pandemic. My experience is that no matter how much information is thrown at them, they will just find another way to create a conspiracy. My aunt being one of them, shout out to her
  7. In my town, some idiots put coal around a new mast and set it on fire . The ironic thing is the mast wasn’t for 5G and in fact was to bring 4G coverage to the local hospital
  8. I haven’t considered how exactly but yes it would have to be something like that.
  9. So far from reading through the replies, most people would like to see some kind of contest to be held during that period when the Olympics would have been held. And from the options so far, a lot of people are favouring the Festival of Music option and then also some appetite for a sports theme too. I will allow time for more input but currently I'm thinking we could hold a contest based on a Festival of Music type concept. Users could represent the nations who have not taken part in TISC. Also to incorporate some type of sports theme, then the format could be in the style of a sporting tournament, with either groups or knock-out rounds as some have suggested. I agree with those who said it should feel much different to TISC so that users don't feel fatigued when the 15th milestone edition of TISC begins just a month or 2 after that. We want to have as much participation there as possible and who knows, maybe this once-off different style of contest will attract someone new. The suggestion that users' choice of nation is kept secret is a good idea also and is another element to help it feel like something different.
  10. Time for the voting. One-by-one of course
  11. Maybe in the Festival of Music representing planet Jupiter.
  12. Ahh 90s Eurovision I won’t drop any spoilers
  13. Recovery rates are not accurate as a lot of countries are not even reporting or updating on recovery rates.
  14. So here it is, the Romanian song from the first ever edition of TISC.... Avantgarde - Alina Visează
  15. It’s the magic of TISC... complain that you are not receiving any points and bang, you get some nice points in the next turn. Ask about a song that has been missing for 5 years and bang, you find it the very next day. We have a magic lamp that grants wishes.
  16. Breaking news: we have finally tracked down the missing Romanian song from TISC Open 2013. I will post it later after work. You can’t believe how happy I am that we finally got it back after 5 years and to complete the full list of songs that have taken part officially in the history of TISC
  17. Ok, I added a quick survey on the Discussion thread. No need to have a strict vote but just to make sure firstly that more people want to have this event than not and if so, what type of event....
  18. Thoughts on a Special Contest this Summer? Now that the Olympics have been postponed this summer and with the lack of sporting events to keep us entertained, users have expressed an interest in holding a once-off special contest during the time Tokyo 2020 was due to take place this summer. As such, I would like to gauge opinions and come to an overall consensus about whether a special contest should take place and how it should differ from the standard TISC events. I will not set a deadline on this vote for now as this is just to generate ideas and not to make firm decisions. Also this survey is open to all members of the forum, not exclusive to users who have participated in TISC. If you want more questions or options to be added to this survey, please write on thread and we can add them. Like I said, this is not a strict vote, this is more a survey to see where opinions lie.... Question 1: Would you like to see a once-off special contest to be held this summer with the final being held at some point during the old Olympic schedule? (a) Yes (b) No Question 2: Would you like it to be a themed contest? For example (sports themed, movie themed, instrumental themed, talent show themed, any other themed)? (a) Yes (b) No Question 3: If we have a themed contest, which type of theme do you prefer? Please answer even if you answered "No" to Question 2. (a) Festival of Music style - representing the nations who have not participated in TISC (b) Sports themed (c) Movie themed (d) Instrumental themed (e) Talent Show themed (f) Dance Music themed (g) Dance themed (h) Other theme - please specify Comments: (please add all additional comments and opinions in the comment box below.
  19. Yeah I agree with it being different in feel and format from the standard TISC. Hopefully it will attract a different audience too. If we agree then it would be more like a a contest endorsed by TISC but not a standard TISC event. And the rules can be changed up and indeed organised by someone different completely if needs be.
  20. I will arrange a vote to see if users want a contest during the original Olympic dates and what type of contest.
  21. Medal tables are one of the most interesting parts of the Olympics for me. Yeah probably boring if you are from America because you win hundreds of medals and you practically know where in the table you are gonna finish each time. But for the rest of the smaller nations it really means something when an athlete wins a medal. It’s a great feeling of achievement and the medal table is another aspect of this. And another reason why tables should only be sorted by number of golds won and not total medals because that way smaller nations can climb a bit higher. Fiji with their 1 gold medal beats another medium nation who only wins 3 silvers and 3 bronze. I love that However, all-time medal tables are indeed boring
  22. I actually thought that Lithuania would win this time. I did not expect it to end up on the right hand side.
