  1. It is official now. She will be the Thai flag bearer. Source: http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/sports/1031893/ratchanok-to-carry-both-thai-flag-and-hopes
  2. So.... Indonesia got their Athletic wildcard Sudirman Hadi - Men's 100 m Source: http://mediaindonesia.com/news/read/55748/atletik-sumbang-satu-kuota-olimpiade/2016-07-13
  3. At least we have our national TV (Athens 2004 wasn't broadcasted in my country....), where people only watch when there are multisport events. Hahaha (as an anthem enthusiast this is a disgrace). During Euro 2016 match between Spain and Italy the same comment also come from Indonesian commentators. "We can see the difference between Italian passionate players and Spanish players who barely sing anything during the playing of national anthems". I wish I was able to teleport there and shout "If you don't know anything, you'd better shut up".
  4. I envy you (and other European TV too) Our national TV boasted about extended broadcast than London 2012.... And it's only 160-something hours of live broadcast + ceremonies
  5. Lol I am always furious when they cut it.. But it also has one positive effect, there will be less stupid, ignorant comments to small countries. In my country we also have one TV channel that love to cut or delay sport event ceremonies. And they received a lot of criticism and pressure after showing 20-sec ad in the middle of a football match and skipped the national anthem (which Indonesians are really fanatic to). It is fortunate the Olympics is deemed not popular by them, so they don't monopolize the rights.
  6. So sad for Bhutanese male athletes.. It's quite interesting they always compete in sport that involve "shooting" something to a target.
  7. It's okay. But it seems it didn't load? I tried to refresh it a couple of times but nothing shows up EDIT: I've found it in the official documents
  8. Ummm? Australian Equestrian Federation?
  9. I have to remind you that Myanmar (Burma) is in Southeast Asia... Yes it is a pity that country like Bangladesh or Pakistan is struggling to qualify to the Olympics. In case of Myanmar, they will be happy if you can include Sepaktakraw in the Olympics
  10. I've to agree with this, otherwise I will be forever upset for waking up at 2 AM just to watch this match (GMT+7 here) I hope France failed in the final after beating Germany (just like Italy ). Let Portugal be the feroces soldats which will cut the French throats
  11. 12. I'm just reporting what they said haha Of course it is too ambitious. We didn't win a medal in 2015 World Champs, and China and North Korea are certainly better than us. All of our medals will be from badminton.
  13. 2 gold medals That's what the NOC and the government targets.. Badminton Federation targets 2 golds and Weightlifting Federation targets 1 gold
  14. The qualifying period for all sports almost ended and looks like Indonesia will have *most likely* 28 athletes. (+2 from swimming hopefully and +1 athletics) My personal review: It is certainly better than London 2012, where we got many from wildcards/reallocation spots. But I believe my country can qualify more athletes... It is a pity that Larasati Gading (equestrian) failed to qualify, would be nice to see her competing. And also our second men's doubles pair in badminton should also be able to qualify.....

  16. And finally got their first wildcard in Women's cross-country cycling!
  17. Didn't read that properly then Guess I'm too tired
  18. So.. here's my thoughts: 1 > B Since I'm quite new here. I don't know much about these.. Perhaps 10 years is much better than 5, so it can give more music variations. 2 > B(?) My idea is that if the winner doesn't want to host, we can make it to an open bid for others.

  20. I can't think of many questions..... Athletics - Will any Asian nation win a medal in the marathon? - Will Kenyan athletes sweep men's 3000 m steeplechase? - Will any of ex-Soviet republic win gold in throwing events? - Will Olympic records from East Germany or USSR be broken in Rio? Badminton - Will there be athlete not from Asia or Europe advance to the knock-out stage of the men's or women's singles? Table tennis - Will China won all of the gold medal again? General - Will there be boos from the crowd during the opening ceremony?
  21. Qualified athletes list: http://totallympics.com/index.php?/topic/213-badminton-qualification-for-summer-olympic-games-2016/&page=1 And yes, we still use the round-robin group stage before the knock out round
