    She also occasionally has a very charming figure skating podcast. Always really loved her energy (she strikes me as very wholesome). Edit: on Twitter she mentioned she was announcing for the roller figure skating events, too xD

    One more routine and has the quota. Good stuff. I actually liked the routines from both Mexico and the US better in terms of artistry but to my untrained and biassed eye it did look like Canada was stronger technically.

    An AIBA tournament with a bias towards home athletes? No, that would never happen!

    Looks like the order will be more or less the same as it was in Gwangju. Not really a surprise. Would be a shock of the US failed to qualify for the duet at the final qualification competition, though.

    Mark McKoy wasn’t caught, and is Canadian, doesn’t mean I don’t believe he was a cheater.

    The prevailing view in the West is that Sun is a cheater. Personally I have confidence that he will receive a life ban when WADA is through with him this Fall and that Horton will retroactively become world champion. He smashed his own blood sample, there is no excuse for that.

    It’s the weakest stroke for the US, but it doesn’t mean it’s a weak stroke. US swimming is so deep they can still win medals in their worst events.

    It would honestly be fantastic to have surfing be held in Tahiti, but Biarritz will almost certainly be chosen. Unless they go mad and decide to use a wave pool.

    It’s a pretty strong consensus among surfing fans that a wave pool should be a last resort for a competition like the Olympics.
