I feel like Homan and Morris being tied against the best team in the tournament after four ends despite missing basically everything shows why they were picked. It’s a good team, they just have no clue how to read this ice right now.

Breaking news: El Salvador's players are refusing to play against tonight do to a dispute with their federation.

She won the vote (the way US flagbearer selection works is that every sport nominates an athlete, then there is a vote between all the nominees). Officially Meyers Taylor is one of the two flagbearer but she won't walk in the opening ceremony.

Elana Meyers Taylor was also selected as a flagbearer, but since she is still in quarantine Brittany Bowe will walk in her name.

He's due to skate in less than 48 hours. Lineups are due today. He still hasn't tested negative. He ain't gonna be there for the team event.

Keegan Messing, figure skating. He still hasn’t left for Beijing, and the team event is Friday morning. Canada is basically entirely out of the medal hunt in the team event without him. At this point he might not even make it for the individual event.

I know there's the Olympics and whatnot coming up, but this week is also the Scotties (the Canadian women's championship). Of course Jennifer Jones' team isn't competing, but it's still a great field. And to my complete amazement has started 5-0 (!!!!!), the best start ever for New Brunswick at the Scotties. This includes a win over the world number 1 ranked team Fleury (lets just ignore that Fleury herself had to miss the game due to COVID) and a win over team Homan (lets ignore that Homan isn't there because of the Olympics).

Going to go ahead and predict you'll get your wish xD A duel where both Chen and Hanyu are at their best would be amazing.

Going to be quad viewing the curling live on Wednesday morning, then the same thing for draw 2 on Wednesday evening then both the early women’s hockey games. Then bed. Will be on Beijing time from day 1 to day 4 then on both the middle and final week-ends, but otherwise I’ll just be watching the early morning and late night events live.
