  1. Just some eventual mishap with their system
  2. Which means men’s round to watch will be 1/8 instead of quarterfinals.
  3. Last quota goes to I’m sad for Ukraine though
  4. The camera man is an idiot, he missed the most interesting section of the finish
  5. I think their men’s quota should go to Samoa as per the original system, but Eorld Archery screwed Mongolia denying them a women’s quota when retired, so I think it will be added to WQT
  6. I wonder why they kept their women's quota. Their competitor won’t be even close to make it into Eight-finals.
  7. And with sone score fixing in the first set, France advances to semis
  8. plus every European country competing. I’d say , & may have an edge, but it all will depend on the individual draw.
  9. Isn’t this akin state-sponsored doping like Russia’s? Well, I don’t see His Highness Coe banning the entire US team, wether innocent or guilty, from competing because the obvious corruption of USATF
  10. team for Tokyo 2020 was revealed yesterday On a positive note, I’m glad that the results from the control event were respected and any “finger” designation avoided, especially regarding Paola Espinosa who won’t be going On the other hand, some of this divers will be debuting on a high level event, so I think this Olympics could be taken as a generation relay and not so much as a sure medal haul. Best options will come from women’s 3m synchro, where basically any team can grab the bronze, as the other two positions will go to China and Canada in that order; and Rommel Pacheco in men’s 3m individual which I’d love to see finally winning an Olympic medal. So, total number will be 14, with the only athletes doubling up being the women in 10m platform @Benolympique
  11. According to this FIG document Mexico will not be making their debut in Tokyo, as Navarro finished 8th in the ranking list, only one point behind Australia
  12. It’s pure pettiness on those players in the top 20 men (40 for women), as they could spare a week to compete at the Olympics and actually give a chance for others to win a 250 title.
  13. I hope not she really sucks at this sport. Better leave in case D’Amour nerves fail again.
  14. Indeed Check validity criteria at page 11 of the Qualification document it clearly states that at least 2 Oceania NOC’s must compete in FQT for a continental quota to be awarded. Then as per same qualification document, results from last Oceania Championships should be used
  15. Oh I remember that group well
  16. Indeed. Probably she gave it all on Friday & Saturday, and today she’s just phisically incapable of achieving the same which of course affects her mentality. Let’s hope she can rest enough to do a good preparation and try to get as close to her scores from this weekend at the Olympics
  17. I mostly agree with your simulation. However, , & can choose between sending either their athletes winning a quota via a qualifier or the best one in the Olympic ranking; in any case, NOC quotas as you correct simulated not be altered. The final two places should be awarded to Poland & Mexico, only if tripartite invitations are not given.
  18. Carrillo All hopes for a second quota thorugh ranking in men’s gone now. Let’s see if Sandoval can at least secure one.
  19. Well, I agree with you. People in Mexico doesn’t care about other sports than football (and to a minor extent baseball, boxing & diving) so they probably didn’t knew our girls were fighting for a spot. As for the decision in weightlifting, I think the federation is to blame, as they should have monitored better every single lifter making it to the national teams. I would hope the president of the federation could be sacked after this debacle, but he probably is another protegé of that scum we have as Sports Director.
  20. Congratulations Brazil You deserve to be in Tokyo, your women were better today and even if it’s a deep lose to remain at home, I’m sire that unlike the Americans you actually have the level to upset “major” teams. Best wishes for your group in Tokyo.
  21. If I’m not mistaken, Mexico already chose Arceo. So one of the quotas by ranking will be reallocated
