  1. Just found this article on SwimSwam on Abdelrahman Sameh, who just qualified for the semifinals in the 50m butterfly. He attempted suicide in March 2022, so to see him come back from that and produce a new PB and NR. https://swimswam.com/abdelrahman-elaraby-shares-suicide-attempt-encourages-others-to-seek-help/
  2. Kharun ties Liendo's Canadian Record with a 23.27 in the 50 butterfly heats! Both him and Liendo qualify for the semifinals in T9th and T15th.

  8. Action starts in 10 minutes! Can't wait!
  9. Canada's 4x100 freestyle relay lineup for prelims: Maggie MacNeil Mary Sophie-Harvey Katerine Savard Taylor Ruck Should they make the final, McIntosh will most likely replace MSH/Ruck.
  10. She did! Made a mistake, thought she already qualified at the Stockholm Diamond League. Turns out she was .01 off.

  15. Niels Laros with a new PB in the 800m (1:44.78) @Jinzha
  16. Although I'm not a fan of her (Even as a Canadian), still think she gets way too much hate. Maybe I'm missing something, but unsportsmanlike conduct, being arrogant, and being more interested in fame than her tennis career are the main reasons why most people dislike her? But Ostapenko is a brat, can't see how she would be ahead of Genie.

  18. Bronze for Pamela Ware in women's 3m springboard! Chen took gold, and Chang took silver.
  19. Another bronze for Canada
  20. Really impressed with Nilsson Garip.
  21. I don't. Warner is the reigning Olympic Champion, and is coming back from an injury sustained in the 400m at Eugene 2022, scoring 8619 points at Hypomeeting Gotzis. Positive sign heading into Paris, I was expecting much less. Although, with the likes of Neugebauer and Mayer, winning gold is far from a guarantee. Budapest 2023 should give me a good indicator of where everyone is at.
  22. 1- Summer McIntosh (swimming) 2- Phil Wizard (breaking) 3- Maggie MacNeil (swimming) 4- Christa Deguchi (judo) 5- Damian Warner (athletics- decathlon) Our women's 3x3 team has had a mediocre start to the season, if you'd asked me at the end of last year they'd be up there.
  23. has qualified their first athlete in diving (men's 10m platform) via Bertrand Rhodict Anak Lises at the FINA World Aquatic Championships
