  13. May take a WR to win the gold medal in the women's 100m butterfly. MacNeil, Huske, Yufei, and McKeon are all in the final. #2, #3, #4, and #5 performers all-time, with all four of them within striking distance of Sjostrom's mark. Should be a fast race nonetheless, expecting some quick times.
  14. Here we go. Day 2 finals begin in 20 minutes!
  15. This week we have... World Aquatics Championships, Fencing World Championships, Softball World Cup. TYR Swim Finals, Women's Football World Cup, Montreal Elite16 (beach volleyball), FIVB Challenger Cup, Canadian Track and Field Trials, FIBA 3x3 Basketball, BWF Japan Open, WTA/ATP tennis, and Para Swimming World Championships.
  16. FIVB Challenge Edmonton, Canada Women’s Tournament Gold- Barbara Seixas/Carol Salgado Silver- Marta Menegatti/Valentina Gottardi Bronze- Barbora Hermannová/Marie-Sara Stochlova Second consecutive Challenge title for Barbora/Carol! Looking like the clear #2 behind Duda/AP in the Olympic race. Men’s Tournament Gold- Joao Pedrosa/Hugo Campos Silver- Hendrik Mol/Mathias Berntsen Bronze- Paolo Nicolai/Samuele Cottafava Certainly wasn't expecting to see Pedrosa/Campos on the podium, much less winning gold. Can I just mention that this was such a shit venue? There's no view as the highway is right by the courts and you can hear horns blaring constantly. Hopefully, FIVB axes this stop in future years or at the very least changes the venue to a more picturesque location. Tournament Results Here
  17. FIE is streaming it on their Youtube channel if anyone's interested in watching it. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJEy8aBnqDymMIcJCh72gMw
  18. not doing us any favors First loss in eight years for the Americans. Guess we'll have to qualify through next year's Worlds, we have no chance at the Pan Am Games now.
  19. Italy just upset United States 8-7 in women's water polo QFs. There goes our chance at a Pan Am Games Olympic quota, we're not gonna defeat both Netherlands and Italy here.
  20. Wasn't able to watch this morning's prelims, surprised to see nobody mention Meilutye's 1:04.67 (#8 Performance All-Time) in the 100m breaststroke heats. Great to see her swimming at her best.
  21. Was watching the stream and heard that throughout the entire summer, Poland used 27/30 of their VNL roster. That's an absolutely insane stat, they have so much depth within their team.
  22. Personally, I would've given the MVP to Sliwka, but Zatorski played exceptionally as well, could've seen it go to either one of them.
  23. Me too actually. I've taken a liking to this team recently, they're just so much fun to watch. Will definitely be rooting for them at Paris 2024.

  25. Kaczmarek with the match of his life, as he leads to a 3-1 (25-23, 24-26, 25-18, 25-18) victory over in the gold medal match. First gold for Poland at a VNL!
