  1. Well she wasn’t really that close Maloney was, and she had a chance at a historic medal for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, while for Finot it would’ve been one of France’s 50 medals. Although, no one expected her to come anywhere close to a medal, and Africa always dominates the steeplechase events so it still would’ve been cool
  2. Canada has both of you beat, unfortunately 15th 4th place finish today at these Olympics, and I’m sure there’s a bunch of 5th’s and 6th’s that I can’t be bothered to count.
  3. Andersen has been known to sometimes not perform in major Championships (besides at home in 2022), so it might not have made a difference.
  4. Gold for and Yavi! Breaks the OR with 8:52.76. BAHRAIN’S THIRD EVER OLYMPIC GOLD MEDAL!
  5. I don’t mean to complain right after winning a gold… but all of the golds that we’ve won are in events that were not heavily (or at least decently) favoured in. So, still bittersweet.
  6. GOLD FOR CANADA! CAMRYN ROGERS IS THE OLYMPIC CHAMPION IN WOMEN’S HAMMER THROW!
  7. Wlodarczyk just 0.04m off a medal
  8. Ingebrigtsen, come on not even a medal?
  9. 76.97m and Rogers is back into the lead!
  10. Somewhat, but not really, this is around the marks she’s going in season.
  11. WOW, what an upset on the favourites Hocker wins gold, with a new Olympic record of 3:27.65!
  12. No medal for Ingebrigtsen Coming into the home stretch he was in the gold medal position, but faded badly at the end to finish in 4th.
  13. 75.44m for Rogers in the 4th round, still in silver.
  14. Yep, that’s what I want to see.
  15. Easier said than done.
  16. 53.80 for Sutherland, and through to the final Finally a bright moment during this pretty shitty day for Canada.
  17. 53.80 for Sutherland, and through to the final Not a bad time for her, after going through the NCAA grind this season.
  18. McLaughlin 52.13 in the women’s 400m hurdles semifinals
  19. Rogers fouls on her 2nd attempt, and is also now down to silver.
