  1. Good dive from And now it’s time for the anxious waiting…
  2. Well, Bansley/Bukovec lost in 2 and with that they’re pretty much eliminated from knockout stage contention… Unless I’m mistaken…
  3. To put it mildly
  4. Heather Bansley/Sophie Bukovec lose in straight sets to Xue/Xia
  5. Disaster of a dive from
  6. Very disappointing (probably) group stage exit for Bansley/Bukovec, although they did get a tough group. Damn it.
  7. The synchro is there, but the splash isn’t. Still a lot of work to do with the entry mistakes.
  8. My prediction contest is struggling right now
  9. Synchro is there, but too much splash.
  10. I was talking to @MatiReimundo
  11. Christa Deguchi defeat Jimenez 10-0 in the women’s 57kg round of 16.
  12. Bansley/Bukovec are really struggling.
  13. Go Wiens/Zsombor-Murray
  14. Did you watch the match? I want to know if the crowd was booing him or not
  15. Olympics website is so annoying to navigate for results Google isn’t live. Anyone have any other alternatives, please and thank you?
  16. As a reminder, in the last three Olympics before this, Canadian men had only won one match. In Paris, we’ve won 4. We’ve also recorded our best ever finishes by a Canadian man and women, including of course our first ever medal. No Russia, but this is still incredible.
  17. Blake Broszus defeats Schembri 15-8, and Daniel Gu defeats Oliveira in the men’s foil round of 64.
  18. Wrong thread (this is the Day 2 thread, Mo Zhang competed yesterday)
  19. Surprised no one has mentioned it yet, but Mo Zhang defeated Vega 4-0 in the women’s singles round of 64 in table tennis! Was going to do the overviews earlier today (couple of hours ago) but forgot.
  20. First Olympic action for me today! We’ll just ignore that I completely forgot about the first beach volleyball match.
  21. I forgot about that! See that’s what happens when there’s 20 different sports all going on during the same day Extremely outside medal chance though (only way we do is if a lot of athletes fall)
  22. Behind Australia, Great Britain, New New Zealand, France, United States, Canada, and Ireland? Also, you wouldn’t say there’s a bit of a gap between the two teams? Even then, the scoreline is surprising. Thanks, for some reason I thought the Fijian women were better than they were (have to admit I don’t follow much of the HSBC World Series, only France’s men’s matches sometimes because of Dupont)
  23. Not from a Canadian point of view, yes, but from a Josh view, no. The two things I wanted the most today were a MacNeil medal and a men’s volleyball win over Slovenia (you guys know how much I love volleyball) but neither happened. Therefore you can see why I’m somewhat disappointed.
  24. She was in with a chance at silver too. I expected Walsh to win gold by a mile, and then a couple fighting it out for the minor medals but clearly that didn’t happen. About New Zealand, yeah I’m taking more about the margin of the loss.
