Kafadar lost 0-2 to Stojkovic in the women’s 49kg round of 16. She was 5-1 up in the 2nd period Still a decent showing in her Olympic debut, hopefully there’s more to come from her.

Nobody gets silver, and only gold and bronze will get awarded I guess.

Mediocre day. Can’t believe I’m saying this after an Olympic gold for Camryn Rogers in women’s hammer throw, but that was to be expected, and at worst in silver (thought Price would’ve been better than she was) There was also Sloan Mackenzie/Katie Vincent in women’s C2-500m, who looked really good in the heats, and Savannah Sutherland advancing to the final in women’s 400m hurdles with 53.80. Now for the not so good news, McKay got robbed of a medal in women’s 10m platform (I didn’t watch the whole final, but apparently the North Korean’s second dive was overscored), and our men’s basketball team was so fucking pathetic that I’m still in disbelief.

Well she wasn’t really that close Maloney was, and she had a chance at a historic medal for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, while for Finot it would’ve been one of France’s 50 medals. Although, no one expected her to come anywhere close to a medal, and Africa always dominates the steeplechase events so it still would’ve been cool

Canada has both of you beat, unfortunately 15th 4th place finish today at these Olympics, and I’m sure there’s a bunch of 5th’s and 6th’s that I can’t be bothered to count.
