  1. Less than 24 hours to go before the Paralympics begin! (and 7 until the opening ceremony)
  2. Really sucks that she won’t be at the Paralympics, and I feel really sorry for you but I do want to point out two things (if I may) You mean team sports? I don’t follow too much para sport outside of a couple, but from a quick Wikipedia search on the Slovenian athletes accolades surely Gorazd Tiršek in para shooting is a medal contender? Also, as an avid sitting volleyball fan, I’m not sure if I’d even classify your women’s sitting volleyball team as a medal contender even if Brik was present. China, United States, Canada, and Brazil are the favourites, and I’d give a small chance to Italy as well but otherwise…
  3. Last few years* Fixed it for you
  4. Beach Volleyball U20 World Championships are from now until August 31! Besides the medal matches I probably won’t be watching any more (I watched a Canadian match today) as I’ll be too busy with the Paralympics, but in about a week or so I’ll update you all!
  5. Diallo defeats Munar 6-4, 3-6, 6-3, 7-5, moving to a new career high of #116 in the live rankings! Debut in a grand slam and a first ever win! Wouldn’t consider it much of an upset, considering Munar has been shit lately but still awesome to see Canadian tennis get a win on an otherworldly very shitty day
  6. Which rowers though? I can’t think of anyone who has been missing from the national team lately.
  7. Which rowers? And how else would they compete?
  8. tennis 0-3 so far…
  9. Ridiculous game between Potapova and Fernandez at 5-4 the 2nd set So many winners.
  10. Women’s team dispatches South Korea 50-12 and men’s team demolishes Singapore 55-0 to start 2-0!
  11. Katarina Roxon and Patrick Anderson are our opening ceremony flagbearers!
  12. Nope I only like American football, just watching to see what this might look like at the Olympics.
  13. Women’s team (WR #9) also pick up a win in their opener, defeating Italy (WR #12) 34-25!
  14. And now, it’s off to bed for me before the US Open starts
  15. WR #9 defeats WR #12 34-25 @Gianlu33 GG’s.
  16. #19 Bositampen WITH A GOOD DEFENSIVE PLAY FINALLY, preventing the conversion Ignore everything I said about you earlier (or not, you still have a lot of making up to do) Edit: Yep, that’s what I want to see, a loss of yardage and a flag taken within seconds! Edit 2: On her very next play, defensive pressure from her and rushing the quarterback leads to an Italian turnover, as she throws it to avoid a sack and one of the Canadian players intercepts to score a touchdown!
  17. coach doesn’t look too happy with the call on that touchdown… ”SHE PUSHED OFF THE HEAD”
  18. 19-14 over at half time.
  19. #19 has been horrible defensively, pretty much causing all of the Italian offence single handedly, substitute her off! Actually, with only 10 players that’s not possible but still…
  20. 3 with a diving catch to the top right corner (I still don’t know anyone’s name ) That was some highlight reel stuff.
  21. Oh yeah that makes sense, thanks
  22. I have a question… so I’ve noticed that the defenders have flags on their belts, but for what reason? Is it just for the “flag” aspect of the football, so everyone needs to have them? They’re not getting one of their flags taken away from them unlike their teammates on offence
  23. Flagbearers for the opening ceremony will be announced today at 7:00 AM PST/10:00 AM EST.
